Ordered a grilled chicken and cheese wrap added avocado and was very surprised about the price at the register I guess this explains why they have no price on the menu

Great Deli!!!
If I’m ever in the area I will stop by for lunch.
Roast beef is amazing, the corned beef is amazing, the pastrami is amazing. I’ve never had anything bad from here.
The cold cuts are great!
The pickles are made on premises and are the best half sour pickles I’ve ever had.
They’ve got tons of pastries, candies, and extra stuff too!

It has been a long time since I have been here and it didn’t disappoint. The overstuffed pastrami sandwich was just outrageous.. the meat just fell apart . Had the mushroom barley soup which was also delicious..

Rye Ridge Deli is a shadow of its former self. The overstuffed sandwiches and nostalgic food items are now poorly prepared, bland, and sandwiches are understuffed with incredibly overstuffed prices!
I decided to go with Chicken in a Pot ($27). It used to come with lots of chicken meat and enough matzo ball soup to cure any ailment, with a side of extra hot soup in an actual pot you can ladle into your bowl. What I got was a large bowl of watery chicken stock with some carrots, some egg noodles, a matzo ball, and a bony chicken leg, a bony chicken wing, and small bony chicken breast. It was seriously a joke! When I pointed out to the waiter that there was no chicken meat, he just said "I know. Do you want something else?". Shaking my head I said "yes, please get me an open faced hot turkey rueben on rye." ($18) What came out 10 minutes later was a open faced rueben with maybe 4oz of dry turkey meat, a little bit of sauerkraut, and way too much Swiss cheese (to probably try to hide the dry turkey?).
In any case I will not be going back, which is a shame as I have memories going there with my parents many years ago, with servers and kitchen staff who actually cared about the customer.
By the way, I have gone here many times over the past 10 years and overlooked the issues at hand. This was certainly the straw that broke the camel's back!
Save your money and go somewhere else. There are plenty of deli's around that are good!

A waitress asked us who we voted for. She expressed her thoughts about how stupid we must be to have voted that way and ignored our requests after delivering our food. After that she only delivered the check after pointedly ignoring our requests for it and making us wait.

Solid deli in the area. Not the most traditional but it has many of the faves you crave. Soup is a good option and meats are all above avg.

Huge, massive, unbelievable menu. Prices aren't bad for what you get and the quality of the food is good. Their chocolate-dipped graham crackers are really good, highly recommend. Staff was friendly and fast, will be back next visit to Rye.
