I want to warn everyone about S&S. They advertise many homes and apartments at very low prices to attract people. I applied and paid over $100 for a background check, expecting to move forward. However, after paying, nothing happened.

It’s not just me — my cousin and brother had the same experience. They also paid the fee but never got a house or apartment. S&S is collecting money from hundreds of people, and if 100 people pay $100 each, they can easily collect $10,000 in just a few days.

They are not helping anyone find housing. They are only collecting money. Please protect yourself and avoid S&S. They are scammers.

My husband and I tried to schedule a tour with S & S management. 1 hour before the tour when we were already in town, they cancelled it, claiming they can only tour folks who already submitted and paid for their applications. They also said it was because so many people applied for the house.

This was extremely unprofessional and it wasted me and my husband's time since we drove from another city just to tour. We also planned this viewing 1 week in advance.

Just reading their responses to the reviews that are on the lower side will tell you how unprofessional this company is, including to the one who is in charge of responses.

I suggest you find another company to manage your property, or seek a home in.

I think it may be beneficial for Tanya to not talk over customers while on the phone. I was expressing frustration over the company because a couple of times they said they would call me back and they never did and she would interject and not allow me to finish my sentence. I felt like my chief discrepancy was not regarded due to her talking over it. I felt frustrated because I felt as though she was not listening to me.

11/21 P2: Yay our sink got fixed!!! 3 months and 3 different scheduling appointments with 3 different plumbers to all tell us how it needed to get fixed. S&S is very efficient in scheduling out things, and I am glad our landlord Martha Arana is so keen on giving the go on getting our standards of living needs met. Hopefully the request to fix the railing that is not properly attached to our deck can be fixed soon (: 💖💖 Maybe 3 months to fix things is a magic number for the landlord and property management?

Shady marketing practices. S&S uses Zillow listings to contact active for rent properties with a sales pitch to switch to them for property management. Besides being generic boilerplate language, it’s misdated and includes fear mongering. Do you guys actually get people to switch to you this way?

DO NOT LET S&S MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY**
Worst experience ever with this company. Never put your trust in them managing your property. Giving them 1 star is way too much credit. Highlights of how they manage my property:
Never did yearly checks on the house, renters were so disgusting, broke things in the home for example the light fixture in the kitchen. S&S called it wear & tear. Who paid for it we had too. Rent was barely ever raised. Decided to sell the property. After having them move out, S&S did the move out walk thru. There was so much damage in the house, whoever did the walk thru clearly left their glasses at home that day. A majority of the damages weren’t reported. We did a walk thru as well a few days after S&S, that’s how we seen all the other damages in the home that weren’t reported. Told them house is being sold as is, they took it upon themselves and decided to fix things here and there and have someone come in and so called clean it, without talking to us first. New owners of the home said someone attempted to clean it, but did a horrible job because it still looked the same. When asked if anyone went to check on all that was so called fixed and cleaned, not going to mention any names, she had no response except stuttering. After all this they kept majority of the deposit. Would never recommend this property management to anyone.

fake name of course, me and my partner saw all the bad reviews but we found our dream property through them so we tried to ignore all the red flags. we gave them everything they couldve needed through a packet , we later found out they THREW OUT half of it, as they had to reask for alot of stuff, and they strung us along for WEEKS to get everything through to them , every email back and forth from them was incredibly rude and unprofessional to add. at the very beginning even before applying we called the office to ask if our lack of rental history would be an issue, they said no. We called multiple other times throughout the application just to be sure and they said yes. no rental history is no issue and should be fine. only for us to get rejected for that EXACT reason only 3 days before our scheduled move in date. making us have to hurry to get approved for somewhere else and move in late ruining so many plans we had. when we told them we were told the lack of rental history would be no issue by their receptionist THEY BLAMED US VERY RUDELY IN AN INCREDIBLY CONDESCENDING MANNER FOR THEIR MISTAKE. saying it was our fault for believing the receptionist when of course anyone would believe the receptionist as they WORK FOR YOU. worst customer service ever i cannot believe theyve survived this long as a business when they treat their customers like this. dont even bother applying i promise theyll string you along for weeks so you lose chances with other places and keep your hopes up only to waste your time. absolute losers of a company. we thankfully found a place in about a week that was so kind and sweet and have been nothing but amazing and helpful, they approved us in about 2 days, which emphasizes their business practice is not normal and should not be accepted by anyone, save yourself and find somewhere else, dont try to look past the reviews i promise its not worth it for the type of shitty service they provide, i feel bad for anyone who signs a lease with them and has to deal with their sad excuse for a business for a year or more.
