I guess there’s a point when everyone needs some help. I made a few phone calls and then decided to ask the property manager. She said the only place I would suggest is Purvis! After having them manage my property for a couple years, I see why. They were very kind and hands-on from day one. Found me an awesome tenant at a better price than I was getting before. I could not be happier!

Nothing but great service! Purvis Property Management, Inc managed our property in South Riding for 9 years while living overseas. The team seamlessly managed several lease renewals & lease turnovers.
We experienced minimal vacancies and have had excellent tenants. Repairs were sorted straight away and pricing was very competitive. The property was returned to us with minimal wear and tear. Thanks to the team for overseeing our home!

We would highly recommend PPMI! We had our house rented out for almost two years. The company was dependable, great at communication, and addressed all maintenance issues in a timely manner. We bought our house in Centreville while we were across the country and handed our keys to PPMI a day after closing and they handled everything after that! From prepping the house to get it rented out, listing it, and finding the right tenants to fit our preferred lease length; they pleasantly surprised us with how stress-free the whole process was given the quick turnaround. Our tenants were wonderful and I believe they were similarly pleased with PPMI’s management. We had a pipe burst in the basement and squirrels chew through the AC wires outside which led to a series of costly repairs, but PPMI addressed everything immediately and kept in constant communication with us and the tenants. We’ll definitely go with them again in the future for any rental needs!

Similar to some other negative reviews here, we took serious issue with Purvis sending a stranger into our house not just to inspect for damage (as every management company has a right to do) but to take pictures of the inside of our apartment, including those of our personal property in sensitive areas like our bedroom and bathroom. This had never happened to us in over 30 years of combined renting elsewhere.

We got the same story as others -- Eric, the owner, told us that it was the landlord who requested this service and that they were intermediaries. In fairness, he treated me with professional courtesy and seems like a decent guy, but in no way can I recommend his company to others. They should be counseling owners that taking pictures of current tenants' property is a gross violation of their personal space. Not to mention the move-out which became a nightly ritual of hoping new tenants didn't show up randomly, use a lockbox on our front door, and come into our apartment without telling us first.

It was a wholly unpleasant experience, except for dealing with Eric. His front office staff didn't respond to emails for weeks at a time, were brusque and unpleasant to deal with, and ultimately helped drive us to buying our first home.

Renting doesn't have to be this painful, and while I believe Eric that he was acting on behalf of the owner, I've still never had such a bad rental experience before. Now I hope I'll never have to deal with it again.

We are renting a home in Northern Virginia managed by Purvis Property Management. We have had a great experience with them so far! PPMI answers all of our questions and respond to all of our emails within the hour. They also have taken care of the repairs needed in a timely manner. We have several friends renting properties from home owners, and emails go unanswered and repairs are not made when needed. We consider ourselves very lucky to be renting a home managed by PPMI.

We recently returned from overseas after having Purvis handle our townhouse rental for more than 15 years. During this extended period, we had Purvis handle a large interior renovation project as well as take care of various water leakage and other maintenance issues. We returned to find the home in pristine shape; better, in fact, than when we purchased it. Communication was good over the years, and we have solid relationships with our neighbors thanks to several shared property issues having been resolved amicably by Purvis in the past. I will not hesitate to hire Purvis again if and when we decide to convert the home back to a rental.

We are renting a wonderful home through Purvis and we have had wonderful experiences so far. They answer our emails as soon as they can and work with us to resolve any issues that arise. Our washing machine broke about a week or two ago and they had a repair man out within a few days. When we found out that it could not be repaired Purvis worked hard to get us a new washer ASAP. I appreciate their quick problem solving. They communicated with us every step of the way with updates and were understanding of how quickly we needed this resolved.
