I am so happy to have a home with the Home Trust. Through the forward thinking and generosity of a few brilliant islanders who created the Home Trust, a non-profit whose mission is to build forever affordable homes, I am living near Friday Harbor in a wonderful home that I was able to purchase ten years ago. Please don't buy a home trust home!
There's and HOA that foces you to pay for landscaping, they have a dumpster system that's not functioning properly and becoming a sanitation issue. they have licensed these homes as condos so you have condo fees and you don't own the outside of your home we cant do any electrical work or pluming in our own home the walls are not insulated and the windows are single pain we can replace them but as a low-income family we can't afford that, so with an electrical bill of $300 a month in the winter that is not low income housing, HOA fees can range from $400 a month to $600 a month depending on your water usage. HOA fees without the water bill and fee is about $375. honestly this might be the perfect place if you are older can't move about that much want an easy place to retire and have money to pay for these things
