I cannot stress enough how awful my experience was with this property management company. They are nothing but thieves and scammers who will stop at nothing to keep your security deposit.
Not only did they blatantly disrespect the laws requiring them to give back my deposit in a timely manner, but they also fabricated invoices to justify withholding the money. When I questioned them about it, they manipulated me and used fear tactics to intimidate me into dropping the issue.
To make matters worse, they completely stopped communicating with me, leaving me no other option but to take legal action against them.
Save yourself the headache and never use this property management company. They are nothing but a dishonest and unethical operation that should be avoided at all costs. Trust me, you do not want to deal with the nightmare that is trying to get your security deposit back from them.

I can not give this company any stars. The previous reviews are spot on! Unfortunately I did not take the time to do my due diligence before hiring. They do not return calls or emails in a timely manner. They do not pay attention to details for follow up. I hired them to rent my Aunts house. The first red flag was that they told me the house needed to be cleaned again even though I had it professionally cleaned. They said there were squatters but can not provide me with pictures. Since I don’t live near the home I had to agree. Every time there was a maintenance issue they sent their own and the cost was above the normal cost. Then I had to put the house up for sale since my Aunt passed away, they informed me they are cancelling my contract. The last disturbing item is that they could not provide me with the walk through paperwork with the tenants when they moved in! One last item, they are extremely slow in depositing the rent check.

Save yourself the horrible experience of working with this company. They will charge you for the cleaning of the place after you move out no matter how well you clean it, so they get a free cleaning after every tenant. Our heating was out when we moved in and it took them months to fix it, during the winter, even after we filed a fix it ticket. They seem to love the power that comes with being a landlord, and do not feel like people when working with them, it feels like dealing with a corporation. Every interaction was nasty, and it took them over a month to get our deposit back. The deposits are criminally expensive, and the neighbors (with few exceptions) who are part of the HOA are always looking for a reason to get you in trouble.
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

Very happy with this property management company. Applied for a rental. Calls were returned in a timely manner. Their questions were reasonable. Staff was there to show property on time. Move in funds seemed reasonable. Don't understand the bad reviews. Have patience, people.

My son had the misfortune of renting an apartment through this company. They put us thru the ringer from the get-go. I asked about getting a copy of the lease weeks before moving in and they stated it was just the "standard" CA lease. I tried and tired to get it beforehand but they waited until the day before he was to move in to provide the actual lease,. It was modified like I had never seen before with all types of added fees and absurd rules. They waited so my son was stuck and had no choice but to sign because all other places were already leased. Then the fun started. They were hard to get a hold of for repairs, rude, and dishonest about how to get things fixed and what was broken or dirty from the start. I had videos and pictures of the pre move-in but that didn't matter. We had to use their expensive contractors for even simple fixes like clogged pipes. And moving out was the final despicable straw. They kept most of the security deposit claiming that my son broke things that were broken or missing from the start. I'd suggest you get everything in writing way way in advance if you have to rent thru them, else go ANYWHERE else first.

I rented a place from Scotts Valley Property for over 4 years until we moved out of the area. I found them to be professional, helpful and courteous in our dealings, And unlike others who claimed they did not get their deposit back we got our whole deposit back in a timely fashion. We are looking to move back into the area in the spring and I hope to once again use the services of SVPM.

Scheduled a appointment to look at a house, they didn't show up and later claimed I didn't t "really " confirm . When they asked me if that time works and I replied commiting to the time. After we reschedule they double book themselves at the same time and leave me hanging at the property where I got questioned by police for loitering . Quality service

Disgusting management. Locally known as being terrible to work with. They will ignore your messages, illegally charge you for extreme cleaning after you move out. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS.
