I'm a board member in one of their communities in norther Virginia. Please reconsider working with SCS and go through other providers. Reasons:
- They have extremely high turnover. Our managers change what seems to be every other month. New ones take a while to get to basic competency
- They are hard to deal with. They do not run a customer centric shop. They try to route repairs to their internal team, which has constantly overcharged and under delivered.
- They have dropped the ball on many items. Their support in Financial and legal issues has been subpar. On both fronts our community is suffering from many SCS controllable items.

Our experience with “Select Community Services” has been far from Select. Our community in Huntington Alexandria has been left deeply disappointed and frustrated. Despite our community reaching out countless times regarding ongoing concerns—such as unaddressed sand removal from the past winter, persistent landscaping problems, exterior maintenance issues, parking enforcement, electrical fallout.. has created a nightmare for our community residents.

Communication has been lacking, and community concerns appear to be consistently overlooked. The absence of meaningful management and follow-up or visible effort to resolve these matters has made it difficult to trust or rely on the current management approach.

We've had an utterly disappointing experience with Natasha Smith. She has consistently ignored our emails despite emailing with multiple issues consistently. She couldn’t care less about community concerns such as ongoing issues with sand removal from this past winter, landscaping issues that have been going on for a year, and exterior concerns. There’s been zero effort to address them. It’s clear she has no regard for the members she’s supposed to serve. Unresponsive, detached, and indifferent—Natasha’s lack of care has made it impossible to rely on her or this organization.

Rhonda West was very helpful and efficient in helping me solve an HOA payment issue. I had initially paid and set up automatic payment through Townsq, but for some reason the payments did not go through and the first one was even returned, which I only found out when I received my balance and a late fee in a letter sent by the HOA. I spoke to Rhonda, the problem was solved in minutes and she also guided me on alternative payment options that suited my needs. I appreciated the help! Thanks!
