I recently moved into one of their property. It has been a good experience so far. Rental application was clear and efficient. I like their portal for all things rental and maintenance. They are also very responsive and quick with maintenance support. I would recommend their service.

Mahasty from Shaw Properties is extremely confrontational, and has accused me of threatening her for asking for basic maintenance and repair to make our unit have livable temperatures. We didn't even have enough smoke detectors in our unit initially, and narrowly avoided an electrical fire and I sustained second degree burns because of the low capacity of the whole unit's electrical circuitry. I have never ever been spoken to in this way by a landlord or rental company - it's plain bad business beyond being rude, unsympathetic, and downright dangerous. I reached out asking for help in our unit in coming up with a collaborative solution, and instead got threatened and gaslit.

I will withhold final review until I see if they can handle the above issues correctly.

Just moved into a Shaw Properties managed property and we are very happy with our experience so far! They have been extremely responsive and fixed everything immediately. They follow through on their promises which is so important to us as tenants. The staff is all friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

This property management company will not do anything if a landlord violates the maximum occupancy laws for an apartment. One of their managers said that the City of Oakland will just look the other way if you report the too many tenants living in a one bedroom apartment, because of the housing crisis in the Bay Area. She literally told me, "I wouldn't even go down that route if I were you." I can't believe the property management company is in on this greedy landlord scam.

The company of my rental place. They are promptly to respond, send documentation on time, notices for Everything they do. They do regular checkups in the plane too.

They let you know and sometimes if they need entering to your place s notice that it will happen.

This company is a joke. You are only able to view available properties for rent between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. So basically if you work a normal schedule like most people in the world you are out of luck.
