Sherwood Crossings has been a wonderful change so far , the staff in the office make it an easy process , kennisha helped walk me through everything, as a first time renter I was shocked how much different this experience was from other apartments in the Hanover area. The only problem is the floors are on the thinner side but overall beautiful apartment with big rooms !!

Sherwood Crossing was my first place on my own after moving out of my mom’s house. I was nervous about being on my own and having any possible problems that I would have to figure out on my own. After living there for a year all I can say is I had the best experience. The office staff is amazing and helpful in all ways. Maintenance guys are great and looked into my few concerns the same day and got things figure out or fixed immediately. Atmosphere is great and they always have fun events going on to create a fun community. Overall I loved living here and would recommend for anyone looking for a great place to live.

After spending a considerable amount of time at Sherwood Crossing, I can wholeheartedly say it's one of the best living experiences I've had. The tranquility of the neighborhood is unmatched, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The walking paths around the community are perfect for evening strolls or morning jogs, allowing residents to enjoy the beautifully landscaped surroundings.

The apartments boast a strategic location that offers the convenience of proximity to essential services while maintaining a sense of seclusion. The array of amenities available is impressive, from a state-of-the-art gym that caters to all my fitness needs to a delightful cookout area ideal for social gatherings with friends and family.

Maintenance and upkeep are clearly top priorities here, with every corner of the complex reflecting meticulous attention to detail. The dedicated maintenance staff are always on hand, responsive, and incredibly helpful, ensuring any issues are resolved promptly.

Furthermore, the leasing office staff deserves a special mention for their exceptional customer service. They are not just friendly and professional but also go above and beyond to make sure residents feel at home.

Living here has been an absolute joy, and I look forward to many more years at Sherwood Crossing, where every day feels like being part of a close-knit community. If you're looking for a place that feels like a home and not just an apartment, Sherwood Crossing is the place to be.

We truly enjoyed living at Sherwood Crossing. We haven't lived in many apartment complexes, but this was the best one by far. The property and the buildings were very well maintained. It was quiet and the residents were nice. Management was amazing being led by Heather. After having overpaid at a complex in Glen Allen, we were very happy and comfortable at Sherwood Crossing. It's convenient to everything and I would highly recommend the community.

If you’re looking for a peaceful place to live, this is not the place for you. The office ladies are great, and some of this is out of their control. The buildings them selves are very old and therefor the floors creek literally every movement. You can hear anything and everything. I could hear my one neighbor snoring on a daily basis. My cats would play and chase each other and the old lady below me would get so mad, thinking it was purposeful. That was not fun at all, dealing with her lifeless self. Neighbors also don’t have any respect when it comes to music. Fall time is the worst with the highschool sporting games. Couldn’t sleep hearing that all evening. The daycare behind the place also blasts music in the evening. Parking can be an issue at times. BEWARE any possible renters, if you get a room with carpet, they WILL force you to pay the $500 to replace it once you move out, no matter how clean and spotless it is. There were carpet replacing guys there about every week, replacing carpets in rooms. That was an unexpected notice, expecting your security deposit back and having to pay that instead. Also the theme for renewing, rent goes up $200 every year it seems. Don’t make the mistake we did by moving here!! Our previous apartment was so much more quiet! Definitely regretted it!

Our names are Jose and Mary Alvarez. We recently moved from California to Mechanicsville, Virginia to be close to our children, grandchildren, Mary’s parents and for business purposes.
After looking at about five apartment complexes in the Richmond, Mechanicsville, Sherwood Crossing by far was our favorite.
We had to accomplish everything on the internet with our apartment from California.
Audrey, Heather, Mike and Janet were, and continue to be, friendly and a tremendous help.
We finally moved in at the end of January and we love our apartment.
It is twice the size of ours in California and everything about it is beautiful.
Kenny and Nabiy, the maintenance people, have been very prompt and efficient in taking care of all of our needs.
There is a huge dog park next to our apartment for our dog Teddy and our view onto the park is gorgeous
Mary and I are are grateful and happy to be at Sherwood Crossing Apts and recommend it highly.

I have lived at Sherwood Crossing for three years and have really loved being here. The grounds are meticulously maintained, there's ample parking, the maintenance staff are extremely helpful, and the leasing office staff are fantastic! I don't know what I would do without Heather and Michelle. They are always so helpful and kind. At the beginning of the pandemic, they called all the residents just to see how we were all doing and I really appreciated that. The price is right around what you would expect for this area and the location is excellent! I'm so glad I chose to move here.

I LOVED knowing my mother was in such a great community! While I was never a resident, my mother enjoyed eight years here. Mobility changes have required moving, otherwise she'd have stayed a decade more. The other reviewers are right when they praise the courtesy and kindness of Heather and Michelle in the leasing office. Kenny in maintenance has always been a friendly face and immediately responsive. The community is over thirty years old, so a renter should absolutely expect some squeaks and creaks. But the community is clean, the property well cared-for, and the location is great. Our family is immensely thankful for the the excellent experience my mother enjoyed. It was a great eight years and we'll all miss the best view in the community.
