The last couple of months I’ve had an issue with roaches and other types of insects. Pest control came once (don’t think they did a thorough job per my living room camera) A few days after I seen insects again. I tried contacting the leasing office through email multiple times and received no response. Finally, almost 3 weeks later I have an appt for pest control to come back for a second treatment. I’m so disgusted with the roaches I don’t even want to cook, eat, let alone be inside my unit. I pay way too much in rent to not be able to enjoy my own space. Not to mention roaches are a health hazard! I’ve spoke to 3 different neighbors and they said they have ant problems. I work all week, there is no reason I’m the one who should keep contacting and following up with the leasing office. Poor management and poor build. The units in the pictures look great but inside are cracks in the baseboard corners and cracks/openings under the kitchen counter. Leasing office is not able to give me info to their director or someone hirer up so I’m hoping someone sees this review and follows up with me

Great communication from leasing office staff. A maintenance supervisor, Chris, came to assist with the work order I submitted. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. In the past, Ray from maintenance has also been great.

The parking situation is extremely stressful here. They basically assigned all the parking spots to the retail and very limited time ranges are open for residents. Are you a mall or an apartment? It has been a pain to find a parking spot every single day as a resident. My car was towed once and it cost $500.

From the very start, the rental agency team has been incredibly helpful and professional especially, Keli. The application process is straightforward and efficient, and they were always available to answer my questions promptly.

The apartments themselves are modern, clean, and well-maintained. The amenities are fantastic, beautiful common areas, and convenient parking. The location is perfect, offering easy access to public transportation, shopping, and dining options.

One of the standout features of SoHay is the sense of community. The management organizes regular events that make it easy to meet and connect with neighbors, which has really made me feel at home. The staff is friendly and responsive, always ensuring that any maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently.

Overall, living at SoHay is a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and vibrant place to live in Hayward!

Apartments are spacious and modern. The grounds are well maintained and I love the view of the hills. I moved in with 2 young kids and was nervous about the tour/move in process, but the manager Keli was so kind! Super helpful, very patient with my crazy 2 year old son, and answered my many, many questions without ever making me feel like I was bothering her. Great Apartments and even better management team! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!

The tour was quite disappointing. However, I had an even more ridiculous experience when I went to the leasing office to sign the lease.

First, your officer informed me that if I applied within 24 hours, I would receive a special offer that included 8 weeks of free rent and $1000 off the moving fee. This was when I toured the apartment on the afternoon of July 24. The leasing price was $3439 per month, and the room could be held for up to 30 days.

But when I went to the leasing office to sign the lease at 11:30 am on July 25, everything had changed.

First, I was told I had to choose between two offers: $500 off or 2 months of free rent. Do you think I’m stupid? Obviously, two months of free rent is a much better deal. It seemed like your officer didn’t want to give me the original offer and considered me foolish.

Next, the 30-day holding period no longer existed. I was told I had to move in by August 9 and pay the full rent for August. Are you serious? I need to pay for an extra 10 days even though I haven’t moved in yet.

Finally, the marked price on your website changed within just one hour. It was no longer $3439 but had increased to $3504.

I have never encountered such poor management at an apartment complex.

Great location, units are well maintained, and overall really nice apartments. Keli was very kind, helpful and made the application process easy for us. Definitely recommend stopping by and checking out a unit if you are looking for a great new apartment!

I love living here ! I've been living here over a year now and can only say nothing but good things! It's spacious & I love that it comes with washer/dryer & dish washer. Mangament is super amazing Sophia & Kelly are super sweet and they solve all my concerns in a prompt manner. Wouldn't wanna live anywhere else!
