I got one of their storage units that is basically a wooden crate with a lock on it.
Had it for about two years.
I kept coming back to my unit and my belongings were constantly shifting and falling. I didnt realize that they move the "unit" with forklifts.
At one point the "unit" door broke and my belongings were exposed for anyone to access and I was not notified.

The only good thing about this place is you have 24/7 access to your stuff and its cheap. But i couldnt trust this place after they broke my unit and couldnt bothered to notify anyone.

Darren and his crews provided us with excellent service. They moved us into storage on January 6, and into our new home on May 3. Skyler, Chris and Herb were very helpful in putting our stuff where we wanted it. They set up our beds, connected washer and dryer, and reassembled a custom bookcase. It might be possible to rent a truck and hire several guys to help—but these guys know what they are doing and are very efficient. The service that we received was well worth the expense. A big thank you to Sound Moving and Storage!

We were hesitant to go with UPack because of all the warnings we had about long distance movers, but we were more than satisfied and when the trailer arrived in Port Angeles Sound Moving and Storage coordinated delivery and unloading. They kept us informed and parked the trailer in our drive overnight, The 2 young men came early the next morning and unloaded the trailer in only 2 hours. They were friendly, careful, and professional and wasted no time. The trailer was picked up within 15 minutes after they unloaded it.
I would highly recommend UPack and Sound Moving and Transfer.

I'm surprised by all the high reviews. Sound Moving deeply gouged our dresser and broke the footing on another dresser. They put all the dressers back in the wrong rooms. They switched the washer and dryer and didn't connect either. Upon replacing everything they left all our boxes in the garage and didn't bother to bring them inside. We had all our mattresses covered with mattress coverings. These were not on when we came home. All of our mattress were covered in mud, streak marks and foot prints.

We used them to move things for a floor replacement. I'm always cautious with people handling important items due to past experience. We filled our garage with fragile items and put all our clothing in bins on a raised shelf. This would be at least 40% of the total belongings. After they finished they said that it was more than they anticipated and billed our insurance an extra $2k. They should have refunded money since we moved almost half of the items before they arrived. I feel this is insurance fraud. I would never do business with this company again.

I want to give Sound Moving & Storage five stars because they went out of their way to help me move. However, I had previously discussed with Darren, on two different occasions, that we were only going to be charged their hourly rate for two movers and a truck, with no additional fees, which Darren confirmed was correct. On the day of the move, I see three guys show up, who were all super helpful. Darren and I never discussed having three guys, so I figured the third guy would be included in the standard two men rate. However, this was not the case. Once the bill was written up, I see that I was charged at the rate for three movers, instead of the agreed two. Frustrated, I called and talked to Darren about this. However, he refused to fix the additional charge and said there was nothing he could do.
Darren, as a business, I understand you need to make money, but this is not how you do things. It’s crucial to discuss with your customers exactly what they are getting, and you cannot just throw an extra helper in with the expectations that your customer will pay the additional charge. That is not how you do business.

I used Sound Moving and Storage for my Port Townsend move in June. They did a great job - came out to look at what we had to move and where it was going to. The were prompt, courteous and efficient. They moved our upright piano without a problem. I would use Sound Moving again.
