Love my apartment. Moved in during winter so I haven’t been out much. I can’t wait for nicer weather. I will be doing a lot of exploring then.

I have to commend the maintenance and office teams at Spring Isle. Any time we’ve had an issue (there haven’t been many), they have been incredibly responsive and respectful of our time and our home. The communication is amazing and professional. We really appreciate the level of service we’ve received, as that can be very hard to come by in the rental world. Thank you all for taking such great care of the Spring Isle community!

At first I was so happy to get the apartment and find out my credit didn’t matter as some places u do just a few late payments and they won’t rent to u. I had to go back to Colorado so I really needed to find a place right a way. When I looked at it- I really liked it and it seemed perfect for me and my husband who is 85 with Parkinson’s. I didn’t like the office manager right away. She made me sign everything outside instead of bringing me in her office as most landlords do. She was always in a hurry and didn’t take time with me at all. Then as soon as we moved in there was a constant problem with where we parked. The parking spots in front of out place were always empty but they wanted us to park way down the way. We even had a woman bang on our door twice complaining about us parking wrong. Then the landlord threatened us if we didn’t move. I tried to explain that my husband was crippled and couldn’t walk that far. They said u can pull the car up to pick him one up! They make u move your car at 9 in the morning when it snows and u have to park your car way down the road and walk back in the snow so they can plow. They check the smoke alarm once a month so u can expect it to go off who knows when. The landlord swears at u if u don’t do exactly what they want and the apartment is freezing in the winter unless u don’t put the heat up to 80 and it’s electric so your bill is sky high. It’s too bad the landlord and staff are so awful because the apartment is very nice. I will give my notice at the end of my lease and don’t expect any of my deposit back no matter how nice I leave it. Find another place to live!

EVERYONE READ PRIOR REVIEWS AND STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!
Never, ever give them an earnest deposit, gone. I should have done my homework and looked at reviews prior to doing that. Outright lies in email communication between Christine and I. Do not talk on the phone with anyone there, get everything in email. No e-signing or even sign and email so if you can't make it to the 2 hour lease signing (2 hours?!!!) by 5 p.m. you are out of luck. Not open on Saturday so SOL there too. Take a day off of work for the 2 HOUR lease signing for, what I have read, to live in a dump. The owner is being sued by numerous companies. If you do get sued by them, ask for a change of venue because he's chummy with one of the judges. They make the rules as they want and you BETTER abide by them. No sympathy or understanding whatsoever for a serious family emergency which was another reason why we could not get to their strict open to close times. STAY AWAY!! Much, much better apartment complexes and management companies nearby.

Pulled in the parking spot with only my radio on, mind you, I have a factory stock system in car/SUV as the owner knew of someone coming, as he was spoke to the night before about looking at an apartment and filling out an application. Before I could even get out of my car, a woman, I'm assuming the secretary, came walking out and told me that I needed to turn my music 🎵🎶🎵🎶 down that they don't play music like that. I decided to ask her for an application and when she went in I left real quick before she could come back out, and told myself that is definitely NOT THE PLACE FOR ME...

I would like to state that i am Debora Cavett's husband and i will not try to disclose this. I would like to mention that i lived in the apartment a year before her and i were married and she me moved in. I would like to mention that i consistently had issues with being treated unfairly and blame for certain acts that were not in fact me. Police even showed up trying to arrest me stating that i had vandalized property. Now it did turn out that the culprit was someone that i knew but i myself have never committed any crimes nor had i at that time. I can let that go. I would also like to mention i worked at spectrum the whole time i lived there by myself.. the internet was consistently a problem. Clancy does own his own cable company called colonels cable. It was very unreliable. If he is upgrading to fiber for the units that is great because that will make a big difference for a guest. As far as heat goes his records must be forged because i have many witnesses that had visited me and had to sit in coats at our apartment until we could leave. The photos he referred to are after we put plastic up and not every day is the same temperature. After the service men came 2 or 3 times they just said well the buildings old so the windows aren't insulated so you will have to cover it with plastic insulation which did in fact make the situation better. I have no recollection of a blower fan replaced. The sink situation was reported as the Kitchen sink. We reported that was clogged not the bathroom.

Clancy this ones for you buddy... It is completely 100000% inappropriate and unprofessional for you to disclose private information regarding an emotional support animal. Not only did you disclose that private information (which is warranted for legal action by the way) you then openly mocked my wife for being depressed. i bet you couldn't have moved to a whole new country, knowing no one and not be able to work and be completely happy. It's unrealistic and Finn saved my wife and my marriage. He made my wife happy and that's all that matter.

Lastly, the bill after we moved out was no problem. we didn't even contest it. I even asked Clancy before i moved out how much i would have to pay to replace the carpet and if i could even put nicer carpet in there to make the unit a little nicer for our remaining time.

As you can see from his response to my wife's review he is a petty individual with very little professionalism. He just openly disclosed my wife's medical condition because he didn't like the review she left. He obviously isn't aware of privacy laws and will happily disclose your private information for his own gain.

I would not recommend living in this complex. Some of what I am speaking is hard core facts that i have paperwork to prove and some is my experience. If you ask me, in his line of work my "experience" is all that matters. I hope that Clancy and his team find a better way to manager their company so that the future residents do not "experience" what myself and my wife had to.

Thank you

Where to start? With the incredibly rude staff? Or the fact that your apartment is 30F in the winter because the windows aren't isolated or that it's 80F in the summer because there's only one lousy air conditioning unit in the living room that doesn't reach the bedroom and freezes up at least once a day...?
Living at spring isle has been the worst experience I have ever had with ANY landlord/apartment complex. Let me say this beforehand: I have NEVER in my life left a 1 star review anywhere. I'm very accepting that things go wrong sometimes, but what went on at spring isle is unacceptable, and you should be aware before you move in... Which, I hope you don't, for your own good.

1. The ladies at the office are super nice when they're trying to get you to sign your lease. But rude as heck when you interact with them once you live there. Our sink was clogged, and I called the office to get maintenance to fix it, and here's the response I got: 'Don't you have another sink in the bathroom? We have more important things to do right now.' YES, I have a sink in the bathroom, let me just go ahead and wash my pots and pans in there.

2. As mentioned above, the AC unit is a lousy unit in the living room that doesn't reach the bedroom or office in the two-bedroom apartment. It freezes up, and here's the landlord's solution: 'Just turn it off and let the ice melt before you turn it back on.'

3. In the winter, our apartment was FREEZING; we had to wear jackets inside. The heat didn't work in the office nor the living room. Here's the landlord's suggestion: 'Buy plastic wrap to put in front of your windows.' Again, not taking care of the issue at hand.

4. Last winter, the parking lot did not get salted for two days (it was February in Wisconsin and incredibly icy!) I got home from work at 11pm and slipped and fell on the icy sidewalk. I reported the incident immediately the next day on the way to the hospital with my bruised tailbone. I wasn't able to go to work for days. So it's very obvious to me, that the medical bill is to be paid by the landlord, as it is their responsibility to salt THEIR property, right? Well, Clancy, the landlord, didn't think so. He called me and here's what he said: "Well, we saw you got out of that car pretty quickly, it is cold in Wisconsin, you know. you have to expect ice." When I asked him how he saw me get out of the car at 11 pm at night, he didn't know what to say. Further, he said this: "Well, my insurance isn't going to pay this whole amount, so let's work out a deal between us, okay?" THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE! An absolute scam and not okay! His insurance did end up paying it, by the way... as he knew all along.

5. Lastly, the INTERNET SITUATION. Clancy has his own shady internet and cable company and you HAVE to have the itnernet through them. You're not allowed to get Spectrum or atnt that offer decent service in the area. We paid $40 per month for the internet... the BLAZING OPTION... we got 10mbps download speed TOPS. Yea. Most of the time it was around 3-4mbps. When we wanted to play videogames, we had to disconnect every other device from the wifi in order to be able to play without skipping all over the place.

So, those are the main things. The apartments are OKAY, but very cheaply built, you can hear someone breathe through the thin walls and the management is incredibly rude. Just ask around, people will know Clancy and his way of managing a company.

I do not recommend this place and am glad we are out of there.
