I had high hopes when I moved into this apartment complex. It’s a gated community. That community itself is clean and the and tidy. Neighbors are quiet. I never had a problem in the beginning of my residency here. I had signed on for a one year lease and within the first few months, I was wanting to sign for another year. I went to my garage and noticed a flood coming from the ceiling. I knew that some pipe must’ve burst upstairs that was leaking into the light systems and spread very quickly. I called the office. They didn’t answer (which I learned was typical) When I did get a hold of the young lady that works in the office, I told her that there’s water pouring out of my garage and there must be some sort of pipe that had burst. I informed her that my belongings were getting wet and the water was coming out of the Lightbulb itself along with five other spots in the ceiling, but I didn’t want there to be an electrical fire so I told her the urgency. She informed me that she would have maintenance come and take a look at the garage. However, that in itself took over 4 days to get somebody to LOOK the actual leak itself. They turned off the water to the washing machine and the upstairs guest bathroom and they turned off all the power in the garage that stayed that way for over 10 days again no washing machine and no bathroom upstairs for 10 days. When I called to complain apparently the maintenance person that was working on my Project no longer worked for the company. So instead of checking on the individuals work orders they just ignored them. Once the leak had been stopped, they cut holes everywhere in the ceiling of the garage. They took the light out and left it dark and exposed. I had contacted the office three separate individual times to ask about when they were going to come fix the garage due to the smell mold starting to leak into the house. (they either never answered the phone. I even walked down to the office several times, but conveniently every time I got there they were closed. ) They made appointments and never showed up. They made excuses about why they weren’t coming and then they just completely stopped responding altogether. They left the garage exposed and a mold breeding ground for six weeks. I am heavily pregnant and allergic to mold, I informed them of both , they didn’t care nor did they even try to resolve the issue. While the maintenance team was at the residence, I informed them of the washing machine that I believed had a pipe burst because there was water coming into the master bedroom, which caused a horrendous odor of mold. Also, the washing machine would wash my clothes and I would pull them out and the clothes itself would smell like mold so I had to go to the laundromat for six more weeks which cost around $1000. Being as pregnant as I am and being as allergic to the mold, I was getting very sick and finding myself in and out of the hospital, I just knew I had to move out, they neglected the garage, neglected to help me. They didn’t even try to help me. They completely abandoned me and that situation , so I moved out and they are still charging me every months rent that was remaining on my lease. I paid $3225 a month to live there because of their neglect and their mold. I moved out and I still have to pay until February , I would never recommend anyone to ever live here. I had high hopes for this property but it ended up completely destroyed my life. How am I supposed to pay $3000 a month? On top of my rent I’ve never felt so hopeless that I feel right now. Please do not rent here. I have added a few pictures of when the leak started and they resolved issue for the leak leaving me with big holes in the garage that made it completely unusable space. Again, please do not rent here save yourself the money they will charge you every month that you’re not even living there. I have to pay rent on a residence. I don’t even have access to.

I have been living at these townhomes for nearly 5 years and while there have been management changes; one thing that has been great is knowing that you can rely on the team if any issues arise. I have not had many in home issues, but the few I have had the maintenance team was right on it in a timely manner. I can only complain ever so nicely about getting grass in my backyard, But I know that takes time. The property management team here are really friendly and like to throw our little community holiday parties, summer get togethers at the Gazebo area and so much more. It's quite and perfect place for me, husband and my two boxer dogs.

I just moved into they're townhouse 2 weeks ago. The dryer doesn't work the oven doesn't work and the fridge leaks like nothing I've ever seen. To top it all off there's also mice in our kitchen. I contacted the property manager about all this and she says well our maintenance walks through and makes sure all appliances work properly prior to move in as per our policy. WHAT!!!! Your maintenence should be fired then! So she basically calls me stupid and says "are you sure you know how to properly use your appliances" it's a dryer I'm 65 years old I know how to use a dryer and a over for christ sake. This girl has been nothing but insulting accusing me of lying I'm beside myself with this place and the property manager! Not Jackie she's been very nice. The other one though. She's got a Reay nasty attitude...

Starboard is a wonderful property management company and resource. Bryan Collins is quite special - personable, attentive to our needs, professional and follows through in a timely manner. We're quite happy to be working with them.
We own a single rental house in Tacoma so we are "small clients" but are treated with respect and dignity.

We’ve lived at Park Ridge apartments for well over a year and it has been a horrible experience. Starboard Real estate took over about 6 month into our lease and our lives became a living nightmare. Most of our maintenance requests were ignored for about a year before we decided to move out. Our stove was painted with wall paint to cover the rusty patches, the carpet was improperly installed and there was no closet door in the hallway. Now that we’ve moved they are charging us for the missing closet door, carpet issues, and other things. The washers and dryers were always broken and there was a huge vandalism problem. Two weeks before we moved they attempted to “vent out” harmful fumes from the apartment adjacent to ours that was being worked on. All of the noxious and dangerous chemical fumes filled our apartment within a few minutes. There was no email or note warning us to close our windows or doors. I almost passed out in my own apartment and suffered a full blown asthma attack while trying to get outside to fresh air. The landlord is rude and won’t give you the time of day. She will ignore your calls if she doesn’t feel like dodging your questions and lying to you. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.
