Oh wow. This vineyard truly is an experience beyond any other vineyard we saw or visited. The tasting rooms and walkable areas are situated atop a small mountain, requiring you to buy a gondola pass (15 minute ride) to go up to the top. Once atop this small mountain, there is a massive, sprawling experience of wine tastings available. There is an amazing walking tour, which takes you to all major facilities of the wine production cycle. There are wine tasting venues with panoramic views of the entire valley. For those who choose the hilltop experience, this very special building sits atop all others and has a truly unique experience. Your private wine tasting (Steven was absolutely amazing) is self paced and provides such a rich history of the vineyard, each wine, the fields, and more. I truly cannot say enough about this phenomenal experience.

Huge and a beautiful property that offers breathtaking views! Sterling vineyards stood out as they offer a very cool wine tasting experience with delicious and high quality wine. As you take the self guided tour, you become more knowledgeable as to how wines are made. Workers were friendly as well! Definitely block at least 1.5 hr for this place as you would want to stay at their patio especially on a warm sunny day. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a unique wine tasting experience!

Sterling Vineyards made my first trip to Napa so amazing! The views were so beautiful from the moment we arrived. Each wine my husband and I tasted was so good and the cheese boards paired perfectly. I am ready to make another trip to purchase additional bottles of wine.

One of the best vineyards we have visited in the area. The service was excellent; we chose the Founders Experience, and everything—from the attention to the food—was exceptional. A special thanks to Maurice, who took great care of us and provided outstanding service. The setting is charming, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommended!

I'm so happy we chose to stop her. More than just wine tasting. The views are wonderful. We went on a Tuesday. No crowds. The staff said, Monday - Wednesday are the best times to visit. Weekends are VERY busy.

I loved this winery! Gondola is an exciting touch & the terrace tour/tasting is a format I personally loved. It had a museum walk through vibe for the first half then for the second half a seated tasting with gorgeous views. Offered a lot of history and knowledge, covering all the bases! Wine was delicious & paired with cheese, again a fav to pair wines/cheese - duh!
Sterling is worth a stop and was a favorite in my book.

Riding the gondola to the top of the hill offers a stunning panoramic view of Napa Valley, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. The facility is fascinating, with expertly curated wine tastings that immerse you in the region’s rich flavors. By the time you reach your fourth glass on the terrace, the world seems to slow down, and you fully surrender to the magic of Napa and its wine. The breathtaking scenery makes it easy to simply zone out and savor the moment.

As a thoughtful touch, they let you keep your tasting glass, and you can purchase a bottle of their excellent wine to enjoy later—whether in your hotel room or back home. They even ensure it’s carefully packed for air travel. I’m absolutely in love with this experience and can’t recommend it enough!

Such a fun vineyard to visit. The gondola ride was fun, and took no time to get to the top. The view once there was beautiful. I really enjoyed waking through the facility to get to each tasting station.
