They are for the low-income legally disabled (SSI & SSDI) and low-income elderly. They are owned and managed by Whatcom Housing Authority, so applications are submitted to them.

This small complex is almost directly across the street from the library, food bank and senior activity center with low-cost hot meals on Mondays and Fridays at lunchtime.

Visiting a friend, I was happy that she lived in an end unit because she had an extra window off the kitchen dining area and it helped 'visually widen' the space.

The apartments are divided into halves, longitudinally, so both bedroom and the day living area are both identical in size, but each have a window at the end.

Each room has a long tunnel feel. The bedroom steals a lot of space from the living area. It makes for creative thought, figuring out where to place your furniture in the living area.

If you have a home office or needlework/crafting hobby, the bedroom will fill your needs. Do check out the layout and bring a tape measure before you arrive with a couch and dining set.

At the hallway end of the apartment is the tiny kitchen to one side and opposite the kitchen, in the bedroom, is the bathroom.

I saw that a few apartments have satellite dishes.
