I want to start by saying that ultimately I did get my generator and panel upgrade and I think in the end it was installed correctly, but the road getting there was unreliable and unenjoyable. And it took four months. I do not recommend Tapps if you do not have the patience or time to micromanage the project yourself.

After paying several thousand dollars for the down payment, no one called me or returned my emails for 10 days. I had to contact the office to figure out if I was getting a generator and what the schedule was.

What followed was 11 different visits from electricians, gas pipe installers and inspectors. A frequent event I experienced was being told A and B would be installed on a given day, only for the B installer to not show up. Which required another phone call and another visit to schedule. This required at least 24 phone calls over the four months.

The final two weeks I desperately tried to get in touch with the project manager, Joe. I asked the front desk two times, one of their installers, and even left a voicemail on his phone and received no call back.

We just moved to Washington last year from California and have never needed a Heat Pump and didn’t have Air Conditioning. It was something we were told that we should get. Our new home however had many challenges to make it work. Dave and his team stepped right in and made it happen. From the beginning, Dave gave us his professional advice and walked us over what we needed to do. He even came out a second time before we made our decision on who to work with. Great service and amazing communication! We had a weird situation that happened at 4pm, I immediately called Tapps Electric and the next morning they had a tech, Aiden O, at our door right on time. He quickly figured out the issue and even helped with a few other unrelated problems. They were very competitively priced from what I’ve researched. I will call them again in the near future when we do a few more electrical upgrades.

I called Tapps Electric fourth after getting thee other quotes to add A/C to my home. I tried a contractor referal through C***co and found a couple others. One was selling cheap brands and the others told me I couldn't add A/C without replacing the whole furnace stack. Tapps sent out Dave Ross to do the quote. He is a straight shooter. Listened to what I wanted, told me what my options were and gave me a quote for exactly what I wanted. Zachary and a couple more guys came out a few weeks later and did the install. They were all very friendly and professional. Told me what they were going to get done. They did what two of the other installers said couldn't be done. Don't get ripped off, give Tapps a call and support your local business. I won't hesitate to give them a call when the furnace and hot water eventually kick the bucket.

The technician David did an excellent job in diagnosing and correcting a wiring problem with my electrical outlets. He was prompt, courteous, and easy to communicate with. I definitely recommend Tapps and will use them the next time I need an electrician.
