Water turned off half the time. Moved out the middle of the month after paying for a full month and got almost nothing back. It's a nice place, Apts are nice, heat and air, not much storage space but no meals, which is what everyone wants.

1. A dangerous pit bull came
2. I had a number of delivered packages stolen
3. It is on a busy street
4. No deadbolts on doors
5. If you lock yourself out after office hours the only option is locksmith
6. There were two fun activities, and I had good friends there
7. I had low rent for a nice apartment

My father-in-law lives here, and as soon as his lease is up, he's moving out. This place left him without air conditioning for four months in the middle of summer. He's 68 years old and has heart issues all the complex did was gave excuses. This place used to be an assisted living facility, where they offered cleaning services and provided meals. Then they got greedier—raising the rent but taking away the amenities. My father-in-law moved in after they converted it into a 55+ active living community. We were told a bunch of lies, including promises of various events and more. I feel bad for the people who are stuck here. Packages keep getting stolen but staff doesn't do anything about it because they don't care. There's no excuse for packages to get stolen here. There's cameras they would literally see who is taking packages if it's not staff it's residence. I believe it's staff taking the packages because no one is willing to help or figure out what's really going on. Overall this place is shady.

Loved living here until the pit bull on the first floor attacked two tenants and sent them to the hospital. The pits owner walks the dog around the outside of the building and in the parking lot. The pitbull will growl and bark at you and the owner, being a smaller lady does her best to hold him back but her screaming at him seems to aggravate the dog more. Lease is almost ending, I’m looking for a safer place to call home.

The place is ok. When I first helped my sister move in they were (still are) under renovation. We were told about all the activities they offered and how on Fridays there is day trips and different things. Also how they take you to your appointments or grocery shopping. This place is bare minimum. I talked to other residents and they used to provide meals and cleaning services plus transportation. A new company took it over and decided to make it a 55+ community instead of senior living more focused on older seniors. The place is pretty expensive for what you get (a basic apartment and happy hour on Wed). The community isn't gated so anymore can access the facility pretty easily. I feel sad for the elders that are left there after the other company took over. They have to figure out how to get their daily food plus pay high right.

Edit: Check out their new pricing. My sister pays over $2500 for a two bedroom here. Have you ever heard of a place dropping prices like this? Something fishy is going on.

From their recent craiglist add
Pricing:
Studio apartments $1195.00 per month
1 bedroom apartments $1350.00 per month
1 bedroom remodeled apartment $1495.00 per month
2 bedroom 1 bath $1450.00 per month
2 bedroom 1 bath remodeled apartment $1595.00 per month
2 bedroom 2 bath $1795.00 per month

Went to check it out for the 1st time. At first it looked great (from the front of course). But I explored a bit deeper, then the dissatisfaction kicked in. The main thing that ran me off is when you go around back. Its all junkie all around the backside of the units. Your back porch is exposed completely. 100's of satellite dish cables dangling down everywhere off the roof. Very poorly maintained on back side. The kitchen is ridiculously small. No counter top space for anything. The sink is the size of a small RV sink, you can barley fit a dinner plate in it. To be honest, it was the most poorly thought out floor plan I've ever seen. As you can see they spent all the money on the lobby area and front office landscaping. And leave everything else unmaintained. What a let down

Took my mom shopping for a senior living apartment and we were delighted to meet up with Kay at The Atrium at Carmichael! Wow. She was so helpful, attentive, knowledgeable, and the best thing that happened to us today. We could not have had a better experience and so glad we went back for a tour. Moving in soon!!

They used to serve to residents, now they do not. They remodeled the outside & lobby, increasing rent. No longer have safety pully or housekeeping.
Very nice staff, but the prices have increased, yet the services have been cut.
This is housing for seniors who don't have a lot of money. I find that disappointing.
