I have really enjoyed living at the Diplomat. The apartment complex manager, Donna, is a cheerful, positive person to work with. She is responsive to requests, works with tenants to resolve questions or needs, and is thorough with tenants. The maintenance staff is also very responsive to issues that arise in a timely and professional manner. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. I am sad to leave here. I absolutely recommend The Diplomat to everyone.

I have lived here for almost 5 years and Donna and Wilma have been the absolute best part of my experience here. Also, Ridgetop is a lovely area to live, and we've never lost power here despite major storms, etc.

Donna and Wilma are always timely with any repairs or concerns I have. They are incredibly down to earth and always so kind. An example, I had a MAJOR surgery and I couldn't carry anything heavier than 10 pounds for almost a month, and they made sure all my packages made it to my door instead of me having to go to the parcel box. They genuinely care about all their residents, and they take the time to know our names and our pets names. This community is very pet friendly and the grounds are very well maintained!

If you're looking for a friendly community and responsiveness from apartment management, they do a wonderful job!

Maintenance staff is amazing, friendly goes the extra mile for safety during the icy weather. Donna is always super friendly and helpful! Her and the maintenance staff help give this a community feel, giving the home feeling over a place. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Not very pleased with our stay so far.

We have had to request to have the water heater fixed twice because it was not fixed properly the first time and we could only take 3 minute showers before the water got ice cold. We also had to have the heater in the 2nd bedroom replaced because it hasn’t worked since moving in. Just for the brand new one to stop working completely after a week.

The carpet was clearly not cleaned before we moved in because I cleaned it twice with my own carpet cleaner before we received our furniture, and it was disgusting. The picture below is just after cleaning one room, those clumps are of dirt, grime, and animal hair. Best believe I don’t walk around here bare foot. I cleaned this place up and down and there was animal hair everywhere. From the carpet, to the shower, to inside of the fridge/freezer.

There was a bit of discoloring starting to form on the ceiling above our shower and the maintenance guy thought it was wise to poke a hole in it? Seeing from other reviews, it will only get worse.

We have had a major issue with a noisy and rude upstairs neighbor for over a month. The office refuses to actually resolve it because “it’s not during quiet hours” and “she has the right to walk around freely in her own home”. This neighbor claims to just “sit and read all day” which is a blatant lie. It sounds like construction work all day everyday, from as early as 5 am to as late as 1 am. And occasionally randomly in the middle of the night. Are those starting and ending times not during quiet hours? And are we not allowed to sleep freely in our own apartment? I have complained several times through email and in person. This neighbor even left us a nasty note with a bag of ear plugs saying we need to move to a 3rd floor apartment if we have a problem. Does she not know how availability works? There were no 3rd floor apartments available when we applied. I could have music blasting in my ears all day and all night and still hear the chaos upstairs. I have been begging for something to be done, but to no avail.

At this point, I don’t even care about the things that don’t work. I just want to be allowed to sleep in my own home. This complex was my #1 pick before moving here because of all of the great reviews. I’m disappointed in the amount of issues that we have experienced in just the first 2 months of living here.

I have lived here over a year now. When we came to tour the complex, Donna was super helpful and friendly in answering all of our questions. She knows every person and their dog that comes in. We toured several other complexes but no one even came close to being as professional, genuinely kind or helpful. Over the last year, Wilma has helped us with a few small maintenance things. They were done quickly. We haven’t had any major maintenance issues. Love the location of the complex, we are fortunate enough to have an amazing view of the Olympics. Nice to be pretty central to Poulsbo and Silverdale. Also not far from the Silverdale dog park. It’s also nice that we live on a mile loop! Such a safe neighborhood, there are always people out walking and it’s always quiet. We live in the 2 bedroom deluxe and love the layout, the amount of natural light you get from all the windows is amazing!

Well after a few attempts of repairing our ceiling, it finally got repaired correctly. And it looks pretty good too. So I’m pretty happy with the repair. And they did it pretty quick too. So I’m a happy resident!

My family spent nine years at the Diplomat after relocating to Washington from the state of Florida. From day one Donna welcomed us with open arms and was always available to help with anything we needed. Wilma was always so helpful and always had a smile on her face. Whether it was one of my kids locking themselves out of the apartment, or after hours fixes, they were always happy to help without question or judgment. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a safer place for my family to be while we transitioned eventually into our forever home. We are going to miss those lovely ladies. They always treated us like family. I would definitely recommend the Diplomat to any family that needs an apartment.

Our multi-year stay was made great by the thoughtful staff employed at the Diplomat. Donna and Wilma were the individuals we had the most dealings with. They both were always available to address any concerns. We would recommend to everyone that if they need housing to definitely see Donna.
