So, we just had a terrible experience with this leasing office. My roommate and I, both students with minority backgrounds, were treated with disrespect by an older man at the office. We were simply looking for a furnished 2-bedroom apartment at a reasonable price, and instead, we were met with rude comments. He said “the guy we stay at might rent for $1500 or less, but not us,” and also made an insulting remark about us living in a garage. This felt not only unprofessional but also discriminatory. We didn’t feel welcome at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially students.

Selecting The District East was a fantastic decision for me. I needed to find an apartment that would offer a minimum 3-month lease and accept my two beloved cats. I found exactly what I was looking for. The entire office team was very welcoming and made my move in experience beyond expectations. I appreciate how quiet and serene the large complex is and the fact that I feel safe residing here. A special thank you to Tess, Kenneth and Alexandra.

This place is super ghetto their elevators are always down and water is shut down every 3 days for a whole day and their amenities that they charge you for are always down this place seriously is by far the worst place i rented at! Their employees are rude and unprofessional this should’ve been my sign not to put my hard earned $2500 monthly rent at. If you are thinking of renting here run away from this place they will rob you to the core and do nothing about their dirty/broken property. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. Can’t wait to move out of here it has been a living hell. And I forgot to mention all these good reviews are fake they do them to make their business look better but ask any tenant they’ll tell you how much they absolutely hate this property and its management

Getting packages here is impossible. They put the luxer one on a garage with no access to the delivery drivers. I have had 3 packages stolen because the drivers frequently give up and leave the package at the front of the apartment complex.

Added pictures of the new current situation. Unsecured packages are being piled up everywhere. Adding insult to injury people are cutting open the packages to see what's inside.

Update Jan 27th 2023.
Added more pictures to show the mail condition when I left the apartment and found out some fun facts about your security deposit that you will have to make. They will take a few hundred dollars to repaint the apartment when you leave regardless of damage being not present. They will also make you pay a few hundred dollars for a cleaning regardless if you cleaned the unit yourself. Finally they will also make you pay for a carpet cleaning. All together they took $535 from my security deposit for a clean apartment with no damage.

Be warned, if it wasn’t for the military I would have never lived here.

Living here is very comfortable and beautiful. We have a family and we always feel safe and our neighbors are friendly. The front office, in particular Gustavo and maintenance team, in particular Al, are always ready to help. We love the urban feel of it here, with the trolley across the way. They have gathering areas with grills for cook outs but if you can't cook they have food trucks throughout the month. I love the free yoga by the pool every week! It's a great community, I highly recommend it.

It was very nice and the residents were intriguing , very similar when it comes to ideas and philosophy. Lots of Emotions and Energy, in a positive way. Recommended for a pleasant surprise and a good time.

My husband and I pay 2,500 for rent but usually its more for utilities like water and trash so like 2700 maybe for 1bed 1bath little less than 700 sq ft We wanted a place with washer and dryer. I was wondering why our clothes smelled a certain way after washing. Then i did some investigating. They probably havent chnaged thus washer and dryer in years and never cleaned after previous tenants. This is what out washer looked like after remvoing the agitator. Its not very hard to remove i did it with no tools. Shouldve definetly been cleaned before we moved. I doubt theyll do anything about it if i complain becuase the leasing office always has new people who never know what they are talking about or doing. Not worth the rent we pay, choose some place else to live.

Run the opposite direction!!
The staff in the office are rude and not helpful.
Most things fall apart in the apartment rather quickly.
Lots of loud noise from the trolley and everyone in the alleys. Not abnormal to hear screaming people at all hours of the day.
Elevators never work.
Stolen items from front of apartment.
Had several mess ups with money, crediting money and then saying it’s suppose to happen then charging nearly 600$ more the next month without any warning.
“Dog friendly” but dogs just pee and poop in the hallways and planters.
Will take almost all of your deposit with random fees. Been trying to reach out to the office and no response.
