This historic hidden gem in Northern Bennington is worth the find!! We spent our wedding weekend there in September and had the most amazing and memorable experience, while having our closest friends and wedding party right on the property! The houses and grounds are kept in immaculate condition. The owners were wonderful to work with; easy to communicate with and very accommodating! We can’t wait to return next year, bringing our closest friends to celebrate our 1st anniversary!

Wow. Rebecca and family went above and beyond to make our special day all the more special. Planning a wedding is a wild ride, but their consistent communication and willingness to go above and beyond made them a pleasure to work with throughout.

On our wedding day, the grounds and home were impeccable, beautiful and set the scene for the magic of the day. What impressed me the most is that The Henry House is always looking to up their game, constantly adding new features and upgrades to the grounds to add even more value to the package.

And, they are truly women owned and family run—we saw their hard work and dedication firsthand, and the way it made our day so special. Choosing The Henry House was an investment for us, but one that absolutely paid off!

Trying to come up with the correct words to describe this place is beyond difficult, as I don’t believe there are words in the English language that truly describe just how incredible The Henry House is.

The first time I stepped foot on these beautiful, impeccably groomed grounds, I fell in love and knew I would one day get married here (and I did!) but it wasn’t until I met the Sklepowicz family that I realized just how special this place truly is. This family is among the kindest, most genuine family I have ever met. I am thankful to have crossed paths with such wonderful people. They have transformed this already beautiful location into an immaculate, breathtaking space to gather and make memories.

I got married at The Henry House in August 2023. We were repeatedly told by our guests and vendors how incredibly beautiful the venue was and that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The Henry House staff and the Sklepowicz family were extremely helpful the day of the wedding - coordinating with vendors, asking questions, making sure everything was perfect for us. I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better wedding weekend!

I could go on and on about this place but in order to realize just how extraordinary it is, you need to experience it for yourself.

We were very fortunate and blessed to have had our daughter’s wedding at The Henry House in Bennington VT on October 22, 2022. We arrived a few days early to help prepare for the big day and enjoy our time at the Henry House. We were greeted by The Sklepowicz Family who made us feel like family we hadn’t seen in a while. Their hospitality towards our family and the guests, was beyond belief. Rebecca, Tom, Denise and Sara made sure nothing was left out of our venue. We fell in love with Skip and his energy he displayed in keeping the grounds absolutely impeccable! It was such a treat to be in such a place where you can actually see American history! You truly need a few days to see the beauty, and the elegance of what The Henry House stands for. The Henry House should be on your bucket list for your special events. The Sklepowicz Family, The Henry House, Covered Bridges and Bennington VT will forever be in our hearts.

My husband and I recently got married at The Henry House in October and it was an absolute fairy tale. The Sklepowicz family are so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our day nothing short of perfect. They are so knowledgeable about the property and you can tell the pride they have for keeping the history alive. The property is beautiful and exactly what you would picture a Vermont Historic Home to look like. I can not recommend The Henry House enough!

The house and family that run it are perfect in all ways. It's ultra-comfortable- complete with working, roaring fireplaces and all. Personal touches abound. The owners could not have been more responsive. They prepared for our arrival in every way, including a stocked refrigerator, holiday treats and firewood. The house is impeccably clean and the grounds are carefully groomed. Towels and sheets are fresh and new. (It appears that they even iron the sheets.) Step into history in this charming house. It's the perfect area and location for a large family gathering. We will be returning for years to come with family and friends.
