Characteristics and Location

Boasting a prime location in Rohnert Park's walkable 'Core' section, The Lenox offers residents the opportunity to enjoy a vibrant community with easy access to essential amenities and entertainment options. Despite some management and living issues, many tenants find themselves better off staying at The Lenox due to its consistent 94%+ occupancy rate across its 202 units on a $64 million complex, leaving only a few apartments available for potential renters.

The apartment complex is known for its strong application criteria for lease offers, which somehow manage to process applicants okay. Lease renewal agreements may also turn into a fixable mess, adding to the list of living concerns at The Lenox.

Information for Prospective Tenants

For those considering renting an apartment at The Lenox, it is essential to weigh the pros and cons of living in this complex. Prospective tenants may appreciate the prime location and the fact that the complex maintains a high occupancy rate. Strong application criteria for a lease offer from FPI Management.
That somehow processed OK.
Useless single pane windows & carports flooded for THREE days.
Rohnert Park's walkable "Core" section .
Lease renewal agreement (65 pages) turned into a fixable mess.
What's crazy is the consistent 94+ % occupancy, (202 units, on a $64M complex), & that only leaves a few apartments available.
Even w/ the stupid management & living issues,
I'm better off staying at The Lenox.

This place took my deposit money over a month ago and were unable to get the unit ready in time. It has been vacant all month but they waited til the last second and were unable to deliver on their promises. now I'm looking at going into a homeless shelter as a disabled person. Samantha will not return my calls or emails since it seems shes on a permanent vacation.. I can only imagine how they treat people once you sign a lease. It's probably a blessing in disguise.

Unfortunately I live here and the place is pretty shitty. The plumbing is iffy, some of our power outlets in our apartment literally don’t even work half the time, there isn’t enough parking, and the fences around the area are broken, this place has low standards, I wish I didn’t live here lmao

The property is decent, though the newly renovated space appears to have been done rushed & not as thorough. As well, the new office staff is friendly. However, we have had many communication issues since moving in Sept 2022. From trying to do a lease transfer within the complex for over 6 months, being given conflicting information and having to call FPI Management directly to get resolved, to back charges never being communicated until we received a bill from collections, to not returning urgent phone calls and having to go into the office directly multiple times a week to get any questions answered. As well, I know maintenance issues can get backed up, however we have been missing some safety equipment since our lease transfer in Jun 2023. I would not recommend this complex.

Abigail is the newest office coordinator and she has been helpful, kind and truly seems to care about multiple issues Lenox N.has as ongoing problems. The single paned windows do not keep out the heat, cold and rain. Only when residents move out will the windows be replaced with double-paned windows.l have lived here for many years and have not received upgrades. Abigail has been with the Lenox for a bit over two weeks and l am hopeful she continues to follow through with the work orders received.Keep up the good work and the friendly smile,Abigail!(update) The manager of the management took the time to come see my apartment after l did some digging to receive her email address. I have received new kitchen and bathroom floors,a new toilet and am awaiting news on double paned windows. If l do receive new double paned windows it will be long overdue but much appreciated. My rent was increased 137.00 last year with absolutely no updates until recently. If the communication continues,l feel the Lenox may have a chance at January 10............. update/photos enclosed are grounds on Lenox N.The debris has been shown to office and maintenance walks these grounds daily. It remains. My windows are updated photos with weather seeping through. This has been my home for many years and l would appreciate being heard.

My fiance and I moved out middle of October 2023. We were there for a year and 3 months. In that time the manager in the office changed twice and they could not keep a receptionist to save their lives. Abigail is new and she is the only pleasant and competent or caring person I've ever seen working at the lenox. Hopefully she will move on to better things. Upon move in we saw water damage in all of the windows and under both sinks and in the closet with the water heater. The windows mold and sweat in winter. The maintenance guys have been switched out completely. The first guy, Tony, did not give us notice that he would be entering our apartment and knocked but I was asleep (in the nude) and he came in after no one answered. We scolded the front office about this situation and it never happened again. But after that it was constant attitude from their manager Samantha. The new maintenance guy decided to come and go as he pleased while I was home alone waiting for him to fix a simple leak under the sink. He forced me to stay home the whole day for 2 days straight because he didn't bring the proper tools to do his job. And then came back the next day to check on everything. It just felt like he was way too comfortable invading my space and privacy. The apartment had spiders and a severe Ant problem. Nothing was ever done about it. I spent a ton of money on poisons and sprays. The grounds are infested with fleas. So if you have pets and they don't already have fleas, either keep them inside 24/7 or be prepared for an unceasing battle of trying to rid your pet of fleas. The heaters in the house are electric baseboard heaters which do not work correctly. Once you turn them on they will continue to run without ever stopping to control temperature. So you can't turn your heater on overnight or while you're at work because your house will be 90° inside. Before we moved in the sink in the kitchen had to be repainted. And after a few months the paint stuff on it began to peel. So we put in a maintenance request and they said we had to get out of the apartment for at least 8 hours, including pets. But did not give us any accommodations for that. We couldn't afford a pet sitter and so I asked if they had a show room apartment that we could stay in for 8 hours and they said yes and there should be a couple chairs to sit but we got there and it was completely empty. My cat ran out that door and back to her apartment, so I went in to get her back and the outsourced maintenance guy told me it would be no problem if we just went in the bedroom with the door closed. But the people at lenox strictly told us we had to be out for 8 hours or our pets could die. So they straight up lied to us and made our lives completely inconvenient and gave us a huge attitude about not wanting to give us accommodations. Then the sink was messed up again. We we had to do the entire debacle over again. We were so sick of this place we never wanted to see Sam or Tony's faces again. Every single time we spoke with anyone from the lenox which was usually Sam, nobody ever gave us any courtesy or compassion. The customer service is garbage with these people. Abigail is the only exception. Then mold grew in the closet with the water heater and Sam just completely ignored my email about it. Our rent was $2100 for a 1 bedroom apartment, which to me is outrageous. There is a lot of turnover in the tenants as well. People are constantly moving out or moving in. The grounds are beautiful and it's located in a good neighborhood right alongside the walking creek. But basically everything else about this place is horrible. It's been 4 weeks to the day since we moved out and still have not got our deposit back. Abigail told us they had 21 days to give it to us but they haven't. I called today to check on it. They are supposed to call me back. I do not recommend living here. It is over priced and shady to say the least.
Update: it's been 3 months since we moved out and we had to threaten to take them to court and practically harass them to get our full deposit back.

I have had many issues from here. Roaches, Leaking windows, mold, and ants. I have fought to have many of these issues fixed. Now dealing with late charge fees because rent was dropped off “late” when it was not. Even though I have a receipt for the 1st, but they do not have any cameras. The manager cannot be wrong in any way, If you look on yelp this is clearly a repeating issue. People fear her! Last time because my rent renewal was past the 3rd I was told I was “automatically” charged a late fee and nothing they could do about it. This is clearly a repeating issue with management that needs to be fixed and cameras should be placed to avoid a she said and he said mess. I do not recommend living here. The employees change so often but nothing different ever changes!
