The square is a wonderful place to move into whether you are a first year college student or anyone that is just looking for a place to stay in the heart of Richmond. The amenities are great, such as the gym and clubhouse area that is equipped with a printer, the staff are very helpful and work to keep a very cleanly environment. They have underground parking which is great for safely entering and exiting your car as well as great elevators that take you to any floor that you please. We love the square apartments 🤗🤗!

My daughter currently lives here for college. The management is very friendly and helpful. Things that need attention are quickly handled. And their communication with tenants is very good. The building is clean and cared for. We moved her there from Cedar Broad and the difference is night and day. There is always a long waitlist. But if you can wait, it's very worth it.

Look no further parents! You are home!

My child and roommate are currently residing at The Square Apartments. They are VCU students and they love it! What a great find! The two split a one bedroom with twin beds. Its dooable for close friends. Honestly, more room than the dorms would provide and with one shared bath, living room, balcony, and full kitchen plus amenities- all for under or equal to what dorm life offers- it was a no brainer for my germaphobe kid (lol) and best friend to live here.

This fall they plan on upgrading to their own rooms. Sarah is top-notch with providing the layouts and goes the extra mile to send you friendly reminders and notes. Both Sarah and Katie calmed me with decision making for my young freshman. So thankful!

Parking:
Garaged with secure entrance. My husband visited and he was able to fit a midsize pick up truck in our paid spot though the fit was a bit tight. Our kid has a small sedan so it fits fine. The person who parks next to our spot had parked a couple of times on the line. We were still able to park. The staff had kindly notified the tenant for us and it doesn't appear to happen anymore. Thank you Sarah and Katie and thank you to our Sqaure neighbor!

Garage parking with two elevators to the floors is convenient especially during inclement weather.

Activities:
The staff has activities for the residents and I hear its fun and well thought out. My kid has not participated yet but plans on it. Thank you Vickie.

Cleanliness:
The grounds are well kept and appliances /HVAC maintained. Thank you Kevin.

Location:
This place boasts an unbeatable location, being just a short walking distance from the VCU med and arts buildings, their walking commutes are a breeze. The convenience of proximity to campus, food (living right above Panda Express) , Cabell library, and RAM store is truly a game-changer for any student! Also- Church is just a 6 min walk away.

Safety:
Safety is always a top concern, and we felt completely secure having our child and roommate live here. The complex has excellent security measures in place. Sarah, Katie, Kevin and Vickie are not only friendly but incredibly attentive. Honestly - they are AMAZING! They genuinely care about the residents, making it a welcoming environment.

Mail:
Residents respect others packages and mail and the staff care about your property!

Amenities:
The amenities at The Square are fantastic. Household trash that fits in a provided can is picked up weekly right out side your door.

The clubhouse is a great vibe for socializing or studying, and the rooftop lounge offers stunning views—perfect for relaxing after a long day,. The ambiance is quiet and serene, allowing for a peaceful living experience.

Overall, I highly recommend The Square Apartments for any VCU student looking for a perfect blend of location, safety, and outstanding amenities. It truly enhances my kid’s college experience!

The Square is such an amazing community in every sense of the word. The property management team, Sara and Katie are super and the maintenance team are quick in responding to your requests. The apartments are located in the heart of the VCU-Monroe Campus, very convenient to shops, theater, and restaurants. The building is very secure which gives me peace of mind. The Square is quite honestly the best option for VCU students. The location, the community, and the accommodations are so beneficial to student life and the transitional period into adulthood. Sarah, Kevin, Mrs. Vickie, and Katie are such a strong wonderful team that have and continue to support their residents in astonishing ways. Been living at the Square Apartments for three years and it’s been amazing! The office and maintenance team do a wonderful job at making sure each resident is content and satisfied with living here! Would definitely recommend if you want to live very close to campus!

Our daughter Katie lived at The Square while she was attending VCU, graduating in 2019. The property manager there, Sarah, was truly amazing and proactive, and continually went above and beyond for the residents. Her staff was well trained and responsive to residents' needs and requests. Katie always felt secure, cared for, and connected. Sarah created a social environment with events that engaged all the residents to meet and make friends. Also Sarah taught Katie a lot, as a kind of older sister Katie did not have. Many of these life skills have stuck with Katie to this day as he went on to a successful career. Her mother and I feel very fortunate that Katie was at The Square for her last 2 years in college and we think that had a lot to do with her graduating and becoming mature and confident.
