Hutton did an extraordinary job selling my parent’s house. He was with us during every step of the process. Initially, there was a considerable amount of repair and maintenance needed before we could put the house on the market. Every time I called Hutton to ask about a referral for a sub-contractor, despite the extremely busy contractor demand in Seattle, he always had a name of the perfect person, who was able to schedule us, in a timely and cost efficient manner. My parent’s house sits on a beautiful piece of view property, but the structure itself, is old and very dated. In short, it was a very hard sell. Timing was delicate as interest rates were rising and the price point was tricky compared to the other homes in the area. On top of all that, Hutton had to keep in communication with all three of us siblings, not the easiest in the best of scenarios. The crowning achievement in this whole ordeal was when the initial closing date of the first buyer kept getting repeatedly delayed because of financing issues. My siblings and I were feeling worried because interest rates were rising and we knew the housing situation was changing rapidly. Unbeknownst to us, Hutton had quietly started reaching out to other interested parties, asking if they were still interested in purchasing the house. Hutton’s forethought to go back to the previous interested parties, was the winning ticket. We ended up selling to a second party in a cash deal, with an extra $100,000 added to the purchase price.

I was so impressed by Hutton’s ability to navigate through this extremely tricky sale, with a calmness and confidence that was impressive to observe. I highly recommend Hutton for any real estate transaction.

Evan Wyman is a negligent real estate agent. He represented us as buyers on our first home purchase, until we had to ask Compass to assign a new agent to us because he and his team were so detrimental to the process and our outcome as buyers.

Throughout the offer submission and negotiation process, Evan and his team were negligent in the following ways:

Negligence / Breach of Duty
- Refused to provide guidance or info on competitive offers or initial offer price
- Misspelled my husband's name on paperwork multiple times, delaying submission of documents to seller
- Ignored multiple phone calls, texts, and emails (all documented) during time-sensitive offer process.
- Went on vacation and did not provide a backup point of contact two times during offer process
- Did not provide our contact info to the escrow team so they were unable to contact us in the time frame required.
- Failed to reply to multiple emails, texts, calls on our inspection report, which had a 3 day expiration period.
- Failed to advise on comps used in appraisal report. Appraisal came in $200K ($2M) under offer price of $2.2M.
- Evan's team dropped off multiple calls with our lender about our appraisal because they had to catch personal flights for personal vacations that we were unaware of
