The branch manager here and most of the people, with only a couple exceptions do a poor job. They can't perform simple banking tasks without errors and failures. Elma branch is the worst bank I've ever dealt with.

Commercial bank with a small-town feel. Staff is always friendly and helpful, most of time addressing you by your first name. Tellers are knowledgeable and helpful.

This location. Other branches have been good. The worst customer service I have ever encountered from tellers for a bank or credit union. Not a smile, just the bare minimum verbage. I get the third degree whenever I deposited any checks even though I had the money to convert in my account. This has been pretty consistent over the last ten years. Occasionally someone will be pleasant but its few and far between. Finally closed my account after banking with this organization for 30 years.

Tried this bank out right after i got home from usmc boot camp. I dont like it because, unless i look at my available balance 24/7, theres a high chance i might think i have 150 on a monday night and then next thing ik all the pending purchases from the past 3 days go through and i have negative 150. Chase bank doesnt have that issue at all so i switched to chase. Not really an issue tho, just a pet peeve of mine which turned into a deal breaker since i used chase all throughout high school and had 0 problems

I wouldn't use this place to pick up your tabs. Only one person in the whole bank can work the counter and if you show up at the wrong time, you're SOL. Either have the mail deliver the tabs or travel to monte to pick them up.

My guess is most these bad reviews revolve around customer service. Primarily in their License Department.
Went there to do a simple cargo trailer registration. The woman insisted I needed a title from Oregon from where I purchased it. The thought of driving back to Oregon again seemed a bit much for what I was asking.
I took out my phone and after 2 mins I researched I pressed her for the reason why and showed that it doesn’t require it on the DOL Website.
I informed her that had I not looked it up myself I would be driving to Oregon right now. She offered no apology and begrudgingly did her job.
Now…..it’s ok if she hates her job. As long as she doesn’t work with people.
Timberland bank should be hiring experienced customer service reps.
