Went camping here over 4th of July weekend. The hosts are extremely diligent re:Covid-19 cleaning, they were always out and about scrubbing benches and cleaning camp sites. 5 starts for the hosts.

The park was meh. The trail to Mt. Bald was steep and, in my experience, the view was nothing special. Camp sites were pretty small and closely spaced together and the ground was pretty rocky where tents were supposed to go. Could have just gotten a bad site.

1 coin-operated shower per gender (pay is fine, qty is meh) uphill pretty far from the lower camps. No easy walking access to the water from the camps.

Park was OK, nothing too bad or too good about it. We were lucky to find it on 4th of July weekend.

100 percent coming back! I didn't just fall in love with this campground, I fell in love with the town. Between the sites, the backpacking and the locals.....I will 100 percent be coming back. This was also my first solo adventure camping adventure and I was so blessed how safe I felt and how many beautiful people were around me !!! Check it out !!

Place is immaculate and when we bought firewood the ranger brought it to our site. She was very pleasant as well. Very good experience.

Lovely state forest. Nice camping sites. They groom the sites nicely. Friendly staff too.

Has toilets with running water, and even a shower ($1 gets you 10min of hot water).

Charming park with great staff members. Surprising number of good sites in a compact area. They need to update the restrooms badly, but that is the only real complaint. Bit buggy, but that might not be typical. Lots of wildlife if you look around and it is set away from the main road offering a nice low noise option. The best sites are along the brook, but it did have a hill to go up for the restroom. Glad I took a chance trying it instead of the always popular Jamaica. Will be a good option for future visits to the area and not add hard to get into.

Freindly staff. compact grounds which was great for us because we were there to a short time the hike to the mountain top bald mountain is mostly flat vertical trails but there are spots to use caution. The place was beautiful and clean. we pitched a tent but they do have lean-tos or something similar the roads to get there are dirt for maybe 5 miles and at our time road work on rt 30

Awesome camp site in the woods with a direct access to a hiking trail. Would be 5 stars if all plots had a platform. Without the platform the plots are gravel and not the best for camping
