13 years ago, when we first arrived in Fresno, we did not know anyone nor anything in this town. We were looking for a nice and safe place to live. We contacted Tylar, and David showed us an apartment. We liked it at once and rented it. One year later, we decided were ready to move to a bigger place with more privacy, perhaps a house. We talked to Mel, who was very kind and understood what we were looking for. He showed us a little house right outside of the city. For the next 12 years, we have lived in this house. Unfortunately, the owner of the house decided to go with a different property management company. While we were with Tylar, they were wonderful. They are not slam lords. The properties we lived at which were managed by Tylar were clean and nicely maintained. They were always prompt to respond and willing to work with us on anything we needed, and they did so with the greatest professionalism. After 12 years in my current residency, it is time once again to move on. Though they had not managed this property for several years, I contacted Tylar once again. I can not express in adequate terms how impressed I am with their excellent customer service and competence. After having to deal with several other well known property management companies in this town which are a total disaster, don't return calls or emails, are difficult to deal with, disrespectful, unprofessional, etc, I was so happy to once again choose Tylar to assist me in finding a new place. They immediately responded and took the time to really evaluate our needs and to provide the very best and most efficient, timely service. The staff is so knowledgeable. Mel, David, and Veronica are precious people. They are respectful and compassionate all the while maintaining their professionalism. I want to thank them publicly through this review, from my heart. I highly recommend Tylar, whether you are looking for an apartment, home, or whether you need a professional management company to protect your property.

To say this is a crooked company would be an understatement. It’s not worth any house to do business from these people. Larry doesn’t have a bone of integrity in his body and runs his company as such. I’m a meticulously clean person and have NEVER had a penny of my deposit kept. I’m an avid gardener and have always kept picture perfect yards. Ive had landlords beg me to stay. Renting from Tylar was a nightmare! It all started when we politely complained about the yard not being maintained (as landscaping was supposed to be included in our rent). Instead of rectifying the problem, they started accusing us of somehow sabotaging the lawn-quite nastily I might add. It was shocking to say the least. It was clear that they were setting the tone to steal our deposit and boy did they try!! They tried to charge us around $3,000 for a house that was left in better condition then we received it in! What they did in attempting this was against the law because on our final walk through- they told us NOTHING was wrong. Then we were sent some BS bill. In the end, we were well aware of tenant law and had pictures documenting the condition we received and left the house in. When we threatened to take them to court and sue for punitive damages- they immediately reversed course and gave us our money back. What a disgusting and shameful company. The worst I’ve ever dealt with.

I Highly DO NOT recommend. I went to view a house and the guy showing us,”Larry”, looked at us up and down from the second we walked up to the house. He made a snarky comment about our tattoos very judgmental ! I went down to the office to turn my application in and the front desk lady was rude too! She’s snapped at my sister when we first arrived. She was annoyed with my family and I . Her excuse was because so many people were asking about the listing we were applying to. They made all of us feel very uncomfortable!

I was a model renter for four years. Never late with the rent never created any problems. I moved out of the country and I asked my son to deliver the keys to the property manager before the date due. However, he was out of state and he and his entire family got Covid. I reported this to Veronica Ramos but she said that she would continue to charge rent till she had the keys. The house was vacant.
Unprofessional. By the way, the house was so infested with rats before I moved in I waited at least a month before I could move in. I guess she forgot all about that.

I was with Realty Concepts when I signed my contract to rent my first apartment. Then my roommate and I were notified that TyLar was taking over. We had two major things that needed to be fixed while renting. We were always told that someone would get back to us on fixing these things, no one ever contacted or got back to us. Upon moving out, an agent said that carpet cleaning would not cost more than a certain dollar amount, it was more than what she said it would be. When confronted, she said she never quoted or gave us an estimation on how much it was going to cost. I have three other people that heard her make that statement.
I was then told that the refund from our deposit was going to be in my name only, so I could then do the banking. They put the check in my name and my roommates name. So now I can’t deposit the check unless my roommate is present with me. We have completely different work schedules.
As for this being my first experience as a renter, I was very dissatisfied and did not feel helped at all.

I have leased a property in Fresno for 5 years, and it has been managed by two property management companies. After three years, the management contract with the first company was taken over by Tylar, and I was concerned that the new company would not be as responsive as my previous management company. However, as you can see by the five-star rating above, Tylar has been a fabulous company to deal with, seamlessly taking care of the grounds, pest control, and maintenance. I could not ask for a more professional company to work with.

Finished a 1-year lease and have nothing but positive feelings. Maintenance requests are responded to quickly and scheduled efficiently and flexibly. The staff can get busy as the company manages MANY properties spread across a wide socioeconomic spectrum.

They deal with plenty of crap so they can be frank and business only sometimes, but still able to answer questions or find someone who can.

I'm hoping they can process rent electronically in the near future, but I still think they deserve 5 stars.
