I am a first time condo buyer, and was privileged to have worked with Matt Goyer who is the owner of Urban Living, a Seattle/Bellevue area real estate brokerage. I opted to work with Matt due to his expertise in new construction condos as he is the top producing agent in this niche, his website has a helpful guide on buying a new condo, and his informative YouTube channel features all of the high rise condo buildings.

Matt went above and beyond throughout the nine month condo buying journey. Matt was very responsive and communicative via every channel throughout the process (i.e. phone, email, text, in person). He has in depth knowledge of each building, and provided detailed responses to each question I had throughout the process. Matt also offered guidance on selecting the best floorplans and units in the building, what units would have the best resale value, what upgrades were worthwhile, and which units to steer clear of that would have obstructed views due to future development projects. He provided referrals to a meticulous inspector who uncovered issues that led me to not purchase the first four condos I considered, HOA consultant, movers, lenders, and other professionals who were all top notch.

There were many atypical hurdles throughout the condo buying journey that Matt navigated with endless patience. He advocated tirelessly for my interests with the sellers’ agents and developers, and his excellent relationships and rapport with them made the process that much smoother. Matt’s #1 priority is doing right by the buyers – not on closing a deal to get the commission – to the extent that with his guidance and support I ended up bypassing the first two condo buildings that were not the right fit, including getting out of an ironclad contract with no contingencies left, with full earnest money returned. Maggie Bentley his colleague supported through all of the condo inspections, and she offered helpful guidance to get past weeks of indecision to finalize which condo to purchase. Matt is such a skilled negotiator that I ended up getting the largest concession of any buyer that has purchased a condo in this particular new construction building.

Thanks to Matt and Maggie, I now own an incredible high rise condo with a city view that I absolutely love, and I would give Urban Living my highest recommendation for anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the Seattle/Bellevue area.
