If I had to rate this company based off the experience I had with Sarah G. who is in management, they would receive negative stars. I hope you never have to deal with someone with such unprofessionalism, lack of empathy, or integrity. Her attitude is repulsive to say the least. Utopia has been the property management where I live since April of 2022 after they acquired it from another company. There are some superstars at the company, Ashley being one of them who, I highly encourage the COO to immediately promote to a Senior Management position. Ashley is a 5-star employee who from my experience with her has gone above and beyond to help me and my family in what has been a horrific situation. After being excellent tenants, keeping the place in wonderful condition as if it were our own, but the property desperately needing work, work that caused us health issues, anxieties and more, after we tried to bring concerns to attention and for whatever reason not being heard, were given a 60 day termination of tenancy in this challenging of a rental climate, with no accommodation offered until I sent a request through certified mail for a reasonable accommodation. It was gut wrenching to know that the company didn’t care to take the initiative and offer any help to my family who never missed or was late on a payment, and again took great care of the property as if it were our own. It was cold and completely lacked empathy, and integrity. I won’t go more into detail but we were forced to move out in a very short notice and treated disgustingly by Sarah but Ashley came through and showed up in a way that I will never forget and will always be grateful for. I am extremely thankful to her for her concern, her time, and her ability to listen and understand from the tenants perspective. Ashley went above and beyond to help us, to advocate for us and for that she earns 5-stars. Ashley is professional, she is respectful, she has the skill of listening, and communicating. As tenants we pay rent and should not have to fight so hard to get repairs remedied and I understand they are picking up the slack from the previous management but that doesn’t excuse some of the things my family and other tenants have gone through. Along with Ashley I have to recognize some members of the maintenance team, Frank, Richard, Jay, and Austin who provide phenomenal service and actually do great work. It is because of the names listed I give 5-stars. Without these names I would not give this rating and I need that to be clear. I wrestled with doing this review but I needed to do this for Ashley and the others who deserve to be recognized. Thank you to those who actually stand and strive towards the mission Utopia claims to represent as “keeping the tenant happy, and never left waiting for an answer when need they need a problem resolved.”
I sent a letter that I was informed was sent to headquarters 10/25/24 and I have yet to hear from them. This 5-stars goes to the names listed.
