Regarding their Apartments at Crestview:
They are actively hostile towards residents with kids, even chastising and warning anyone who allows their kids to play outside in the commons area during the day. They do not do repairs in a timely manner, and their after hours repair maintenance line always has a full voicemail box, and they never pick up. If you file repair work orders, they will ignore them, then insist you just file another, if you bring it to their attention. They have neglected to repair issues in our unit, some for over a year, despite repeatedly being notified. They told us it would take nearly a month to replace our stove when it went out due to electrical failing, till we wanted money off rent, then magically they provided a stove that week. They do not fairly enforce apartment rules for all residents. They do not maintain the property here, and the laundry is often disgusting and broken, trash riddling the apartment commons, they turn the water off CONSTANTLY, like multiple times a week, for hours each day, with sometimes ZERO notice, and batteries in the doors are always dying, and when they die, you are sometimes faced with no way to get into the apartment. The pool is always disgusting, and the pool furniture is always left broken. The apartments are put together very poorly, with cracking floors, cracking doors, and unsealed doors and windows. If you complain about anything, the staff will begin targeted harassment of you and your family.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I wish like hell there had been any other option for a place to live when we had to move in here. Find something else, if you can.

Oh and be prepared to cite tenant law, if you want your deposit back, as they frequently deny returning it for “normal wear and tear” maintenance they should be covering. They’re cheap, and seemingly ok ripping good, paying tenants off

I have lived in a studio bedroom apt under Ventura Investment from 2022 august until 2024 february. The property manager and this apartment will be etched inside my head as the most horrible and dreadful experience ever. Its a very basic mediocre apartment with bare minimum amenities but they charge quite a steep rent. Beware of your security deposit. They won't return it back to you but they are gonna send you a statement of the renovation they will do with your hard earned money. In my 10years long rental experience I have never had this experience, I have always received a portion of or full amount of security deposit back. Now I am gonna fight them at BBB and small claims court. The management changed three property managers in a course of 1 year. And now they got two ladies permanent because they are trained to rip you off of your security deposit and do the renovations on your hard earned money. There are plenty of other apartments in the area not managed Ventura Investment.Stay off the apartments undee this company..

I would not recommend renting from Ventura Investment Co. I was a tenant at one of their properties for a little over 2 years. They will raise your rent any chance they get and do not care about keeping tenants long term. There are quality landlords out there, so I recommend holding out for one of them instead of getting involved with Ventura Investment Co.

This so called investment management company's goal is anything but to care about its investors or properties they manage.
The staff does not even know the basics about communicating, as long as they collect assets they are looking for or charge the management fee for rentals, their job is accomplished! The rest is nonsense to them. No proper communications, rude staff, and properties are a disaster, with old appliances and no proper maintenance. They are not even willing to accommodate tenants, or pay for damaged property and adjust rent if the property is uninhabitable. It has been over a year, the required repairs still pending!!! Ants, roaches, flooding, old appliances!

This company doesn't care about you, or any of there properties. I told them we had roaches and NOTHING HAPPENED. They will take your money and not do any repairs on your place. They don't care if there broken appliances cost you money (I had a leaking bath tub spout that cost so much money because it was constantly leaking hot water when gas was at an all time high) they don't care if there is mold in the bathroom that could cause you health problems. Avoid any place owned by this company!

I would like to say Ventura Investment is a great company, but what makes their company great is their employees. Specifically, I had the pleasure of working with Robert B who came out in a timely manner, handled my maintenance request with poise and expertise, and resolved it the day as advertised. He did a great job, cleaned everything up well, and made sure he was thorough with his work done, going above and beyond. As long as this company continues to involve people like this in their community, I think they’ll do well.

We are non-profit helping youth in community. This company lied and charged us for repairs that were there when we moved in. It was around $700. Lauren Knutsen was rude and patronizing and after we received bill without any notification it took 4 calls to reach somebody. This company rented us a Office with broken window. We had to board up window and when we moved after 2 years they charged us for it. I hate companies that steal from tenants. If they would of even helped in the smallest way we would of appreciated. NOBODY CARES and we don’t have any time to pursue in court. If your desperate new business then go to aVentura Investment Co and have them take advantage of you.

It is not about money as we have moved to bigger location but the callous immoral business standards this company has is astonishing.

I was disheartened to read another review regarding the company not returning a deposit as I am making every effort to leave condo clean and ready for the remodel planned for next tenant. I will update my review if I receive my deposit in a timely way.
