The online DMV seems to have problems. But I had to wait since I had no appointment but the lady that waited on me was great and got everything done with no problems but I hope they fix the online so it works like it did before the upgrade.

I had no.....appointment. Walked in, had 2 transactions to attain to. Filled out my forms, was handed a ticket, before I could sit down 5 feet from the window my # was called. Within 15 minutes I was walking out. Everybody I dealt with was very... friendly & professional. It was a painless experience. Thank you Newport DMV.

Very friendly staff. I had an appointment at 11:10 and arrived right on time. I checked in and was out the door in about 15 minutes with my new registration and title in hand.

Worst DMV I've ever been to, worst experiences at a DMV in my entire life. They include no information necessary to ensure you have all documentation needed to get a license or vehicle registered. Whoever works at counter #5 has the worst customer service I've ever experienced and shows a clear lack of understanding at what it means to be a public servant and the virtues espoused to that privilege.

I want to caveat and am editing my review. There are great DMV workers at this office, I know because my wife was lucky enough to get them when she was serviced. I got counter number 5 both times I've visited and both times I've been sent away lacing the documentation that is listed no where. She could've told me the first time ALL the documentation I would need, but I think she enjoys turning people away - given her lack of care and unnecessarily rude disposition.

I rarely ever leave reviews, but this is my only means to vent on this failure of a public institution. This is the second time I've been sent away not having all the necessary documents and each time they ask for another document. They piecemeal the documents needed with each visit and each bit of time wasted.

Inconsistent info. Was denied license for not having birth cert, passport or ss card. My husband got his without these docs. Went back to counter to ask why and clerk was very rude. I finally got the license but not before I was subjected to sarcasm and contempt. I am a nice person and was very polite, I did not deserve this treatment
