EVERY review on here is from a networking perspective- NONE are from tenants. Do NOT rent a property from this company. They represent the LANDLORD and do not care about tenant rights. I had a near electric fire on Christmas and the wires were burning inside the wall. VPM refused to authorize repair saying the landlords were out of the country, despite an electrician being able to remedy the same day. They put my family in a hotel and then REFUSED to pay the bill even after making the reservation. This on top of NUMEROUS safety violations at the townhouse that I had to report to the city. VPMC ignored my request for adequate heat (52 degrees inside max) for 21 days and claimed they were sorry that it took FIVE weeks to repair the dishwasher. Judy Gamble lied about the hotel reservation and I have documentation of all of this, including photos of the dangerous electrical conditions and filed a complaint with the BBB. The reviews on Google
are a joke and nothing more than realtors engaged in a quid pro quo. Do NOT use this company if you are a tenant. They do not care about you.

Edit in response to the BS reply below. VPM rep told me the day of the near fire that the landlord would not authorize time and a half to pay on a holiday for the repair. They put me in a hotel and then refused to pay. My family was forced to leave on Christmas and I missed two days with my daughters from NY. This on top of numerous unaddressed safety issues at the property including broken window locks, missing screens, a faulty dryer, FIVE weeks to fix a dishwasher, and two broken toilets. Sunday after the near fire two non-English speaking guys showed up in a no -marked van at 8pm and fed new electric lines through the house by the lights on their cellphones. They used my tools and worked in the dark. So tell us again how you care about safety. And not ONCE did ANYONE apologize for the lack of care that led to the burning electric box or the fact that my family was forced to vacate on Christmas. We could have been killed if it happened while we were sleeping. . You are flat out lying below and there are reports filed with the city showing you rented a property in violation of NUMEROUS building codes and failed to adress them upon notification.

My experience with Virginia Property Management Group has been great, Lindsey Emami has made being a first time landlord extremely easy. She and her team are communicative and proactive and made the rental process simple even while I was making a cross-country move. The application process took me to VPMG.
After submitting the background, providing some info and paying a fee, I got a phone call. It was an agent calling with some follow up questions about my credit history. The call seems to go well and with an hour I recieved a message from VPMG stating I had been approved for the rental and the lease would be sent in 24 hours.
23 hours later I contacted the agent who said my application was pending approval and I needed to send over my bank statements and get them in-touch with my employer.

I was offended. If a tennent can't change the terms of a contract the what gives a renter the right?

I replied "no, I was already approved, if you cant honor your written communications I then you sound like a terrible landlord and I don't want to do business with you"

She then lied to me, claiming the approval letter that I had received actually stated "pending approval" (it did not)

My opinion is this company (or its agents/clients) are not trust worthy landlords if they lie in written communications or go back on contracts.
