The company has received mixed reviews, with some clients praising their agents for being helpful, resourceful, and accommodating. One client, in particular, mentioned that their agent, Melissa Jordan, was terrific and went above and beyond to assist them in finding the perfect studio apartment. They appreciated the agent's helpfulness and resourcefulness in making their experience a pleasant one.

However, other clients have expressed concerns about the limited parking and lack of refrigerator in the studio units. These factors have caused some inconvenience for tenants, leading to a lower overall rating for the company.

In conclusion, WestStar Property Management has its strengths, such as responsive and knowledgeable staff, but also faces challenges like limited parking and amenities. Prospective clients should weigh these factors when considering WestStar for their property management needs.

Your agent, Melissa Jordan, was terrific, helpful, resourceful, and accommodating. The studio was more than I could ever hope for! I love it. I’ve already decorated the fireplace.

Only two problems…very little parking and no refrigerator. I can’t afford to get one until the new year!

NO NO NO
The rates were tempting. I saw the address and went early evening to see the place, as I pushed open the gate that leads from the complex to the alley this young lady and her friend almost hit me with their car (garage unit 8) in the alley.
Her garage was on the other side of the complex from where they gate door i pushed open. While I'm still standing with the gate open, they started yelling at me "if you damage my car.." I was so shocked. I had a little girl with me and she didn't know what to do. As we walked back on to the property forward the front of the apartment complex , (complex doesn't face street they face sideways) they are behind me swearing and yelling insults. We kept walking as they followed us to the street.
Knowing this is the kind of people you rent to, I won't rent from you.
Good prices, good tenants.

This is a 0 star post. We lived at 339 western ave in Glendale. We moved in and the address they gave us wasn’t registered in us post office which was the first sign that something was off. Gas was not turned on, during move in day. This company is literally just trying to make money off you they don’t care about fixing things in your apartment, even when they did send people to fix our apartment they couldn’t speak English which is a problem because repairs couldn’t be accurately explained to workers. They never answer and when they do finally answer it’s weeks later and never really offer a solution. Also, trash was rarely picked up and bin would always overflow leaving trash all over the ground. They claimed when we moved out as well that it cost 1,700 dollars to repaint in a less than 700 sq ft apartment and offered us 200 bucks back from our 2,700 deposit, a literal spit in the face. They tried to charge us for upgrades on the apartment that the apartment never came with, in order for the next tenants to be set up with everything we didn’t have. Don’t expect anything from the actual owner of the property either just as useless as this property manager

I had the pleasure of working with Nadean and I can confidently say she exceeded all expectations, from the very first interaction, her professionalism and attention to detail were spot on. She has a proactive approach, ensuring that any issues were addressed quickly and efficiently. Whether it was a minor repair or a more urgent problem, Nadean always kept me informed and followed through until everything was resolved to my satisfaction.
What really stood out was her exceptional communication skills. She’s always responsive to emails, and phone calls, which made the entire rental experience smooth and stress-free. I never had to wonder about the status of any request, as she kept me updated at every step. Highly recommend!

Overall I have had a negative experience with this management company. When it comes to roach infestations they will send a technician however many of the residents including myself had to take matters into our own hands by buying our own supplies to help eradicate the problem. When it comes to communication with the owners it is nearly impossible to speak with anyone other than the on-site Property Management or their spokesperson Yelena. While I have had nothing but positive interactions with Yelena and on site management, it has seemed nearly impossible to speak with any actual owners. When it comes to the pricing of the units I would say that the pricing is overpriced however that is merely my own opinion and everyone is entitled to that. I was very disappointed in my stay at their St Andrews location because of the lack of fixing issues involving the plumbing. I have an issue, whenever I wash dishes, the sink becomes over flowed with water as seen in the images. The sink in the apartment underneath me becomes overflowed with water. It has been an ongoing problem despite plumbing coming out to address the issue several times. When it comes to the finish of the apartment there were many things that I noticed after I had moved in. There were gaps in the floor panels and the lining of the entire apartment. I also noticed that many of the finishing's were rushed. If possible definitely choose another property management company because there are other options that are better.

If I could give them a -0 star I would, they never answer the phone when you call the office. I had an plumbing emergency when sewage backed up in my bathtub and toilet on March 17th and the plumber wasn’t sent out until March 21st. I had water leaking from the upstairs unit since November and it took the 4 months to send out a plumber for that. Sewage coming up through the clean out outside my neighbors door. This is a Terrible property management company but the one I deal with is Margarita Morales

If I could give 0 star and rate this property Management company, I would. I have tried to call and email to no avail. I hope this gets to the right person because the person I am in contact with is of no help. I wrote the below email to the many "no reply emails" as well as the generic info email the website provides because the landlord Lissette, won't provide me any other contact info.

Hello,

I was at ********** In Hawthorne. I moved out on Feb 22nd. I spoke to our land lord (Lissette) and disputed the charges on the disposition letter, and still have not received evidence of the work she claimed needed to be done. I was charged for painting the wall and a damaged piece of blind that was not done by us but was damaged prior to our move in. We were never give a move-in checklist to assess the property, even though I asked for one when moving in. I explained this to Lissette and she has failed to respond.

The wall had normal wear and tear but because Lissette directed me to patch and paint the wall to avoid fees, I did so provided pictures to her and asked to meet with her. As usual she never responded. The no response behavior is one of the main reasons I decided to not continue my tenancy amongst many other things. At this point I am really frustrated with this property management company and would like someone to call me. I agreed to the $250 professional cleaning fee, not because the house dirty (because I left it almost as I moved in) but because Lissette made it seem though it could not be avoided and I figured this would save me the hassle of cleaning, but anything above $125 should allow me to receive a vendor receipt. In addition, Lissette stated she will send me pictures of what needed to be painted that was above normal wear and tear. I have provided pictures of the walls after they were patched and painted by my contractor. That shouldn't have been the case, but I was compliant and shouldn't be charged again by your vendor for the same job.

I work for a property management company and would never treat my tenants this way. I am very disappointed at the level of service I received as a tenant, but even more so now, because I was trying to make a clean cut.

Attached are the photos of how the apartment was left, once the painter I hired finished his work. These pictures were sent to Lissette she never replied.

As you already have my contact information, I look forward to call from someone since I would like my full deposit less the $250 for professional cleaning (with receipt included) back.

Thanks,

The above explains my current issue but through out my tenancy, I was under the loudest neighbors ever who never slept at night and land lord never did anything to ask them to calm down, I was not provided the storage that was advertised when I signed the lease, not provided the pool key until almost end of the summer and 6 months in my tenancy, and my car was damaged by my neighbors and when I asked for the footage to provide to my insurance company, I was asked for the time and date by the landlord but never received anything. She just didn't really care about the property nor the tenants and would often respond to texts, which was the preferred way of contact, as though I was bothering her while she was at work... that was hilarious to me as I am trying to reach her regarding her job. I have attached the pictures of how I left the apartment, can anyone please explain why I would loose almost $1000 of my deposit, after paying over $300 to paint the apartment before moving out?

Absolutely awful company from what I can gather, having now been a tenant under their management for two months. This is a list of everything so far:

- forced us into renters insurance, and if we didn’t sign up, we’d have to pay an extra 10$ fee whenever we pay our rent. First thing that felt off.

- gave us notice to enter our apartments… for a 17 day period. Yeah. They ā€œneed to make repairsā€ for a 17 day period, that’s more days than apartments in my building. When I asked what repairs were needed, she refused to comment. I’m still waiting to hear back with more additional information, but as a pet owner I cannot be expected to be okay with someone entering my apartment randomly without my presence. I’ve communicated this to them, no response.

- another tenant had the workers ask him if they could make an illegal copy of his keys. A key that says ā€œDo Not Duplicateā€ on it. No one from management seemed to have any idea why that happened, or are just denying it. Incredibly suspicious.

- Today is day 2 for the 17 day period mentioned earlier, and the workers started BLASTING music from the garage below us at 7am this morning, scream laughing. The way our building is built, the garage is the Lowest level, and all apartments are around it, so the garage is in the center. Any noise, immediately echos up. No one from management wanted to answer their phones this morning in the two times I called, so it took me and several other tenants to leave our apartments and yell for him to stop. Turns out he was blasting the music from his car.

- his car was parked in the spot of another tenant, the newest one. Why isn’t the tenant allowed to park there? Because this new management company told him he had to pay an extra fee to get a parking spot. NONE OF THE REST OF US HAVE TO DO THAT. They’re also already charging him way too much, I’m paying nearly 800 dollars less for the same apartment across the hall.

I genuinely hope someone from the Weststar team sees this and does something. Ignoring my calls and emails will not do you any good, I will make it my life’s mission to put this all on public record if I have to. We (the tenants) are considering when we should call the city, because this is too much.

Go up
