My first rental property and I was filled with anxiety to our my first home in the rental market. Crystal and Desire are an amazing team and have so much patience dealing with me and all my anxiety. They are communicative, provide prompt responses to both tenant and myself and I feel like they treat my first home with the love I have for it. ZERO STARS!!! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! They 100% discriminate against there applicants. This place has HORRIBLE customer service. I had to call/text about ten times to see if my rental application was received or approved and no one seemed to care.
Not to mention it took like 2-3 weeks or me calling them to even inquire about the property. I never got any confirmation email from them like they said they sent after applying. (I checked my spam folder too). Crystal’s voicemail is always full so I could never leave a message. This whole process with this company was absolutely horrible and I have never been treated so poorly by a rental company. Crystal and Desirae were not friendly or professional with me whatsoever. They are absolutely heartless. Definitely reporting this to the U.S Department of Housing and Urban development.

I bought my first rental 2 years ago in downtown Bremerton and Crystal with Windermere property management has been my PM since the beginning. She is extremely professional and always quick to answer my calls or texts which in her industry, is almost unheard of. If you're looking for a property manager in Kitsap county, you won't find anyone better than Crystal Bartlett.

This property management company is not conducive to military families/renters.

We are trying to do an in person move-out inspection before we move out of state and were told the company “does not do move out inspections with tenants present. The reason being that in the past we had a tenant distract us and we missed a pretty big repair that was needed”. This sounds like an excuse and a company problem to me. If this were my house, I would be furious.
We were told that if we wanted an inspection before the lease end date we would have to vacate the home early (but still pay the rent?!- did not clarify). The only other option is to move out at the lease end date, not be present for any sort of inspection after the fact, and blindly trust they will be honest and fair with their inspection and handling of our security deposit. We wanted to do the right thing and ensure everything was squared away/ perfect before we left, and we have encountered nothing but roadblocks along the way. At this point, we are like, why are we even trying to leave this house better than we found it?! The company does not care.

In addition, the company does “random inspections” and will only do them at their predetermined times multiple times per year. Requesting a later time on the same day or an earlier date is a no-go. If you aren't there, they just come in. If you are a shift worker and sleeping, they are coming in. If you have kids that are sleeping, oh well. They have to come in at their “predetermined time.” In the past, the company sent staff who were sick to do the inspections. This is not ok; people have small children or may be immunocompromised, and coming to someone's house with a cold is never appropriate.

We are both renters and homeowners and rent out our home, and I would not use this company for any of my houses. If I rented a property for 3500/ month and it was managed like this, I would abandon ship very quickly.

They do not treat tenants like adults, do not work with tenants, and make every process more difficult than it should be. They are only about money, not people.

We also would have loved this to be handled differently, however our e-mail conversations seem to go nowhere.

We would be happy to share emails with you about our questions about the move out inspection, questions about touching up paint, etc. and the random inspection e-mail wording saying “….because of the number of walk throughs that we have to schedule, I will not be able to make appointments for a specific time. The attached notice shows the date and timeframe that your walkthrough will be done in…”.
