As a Real Estate professional, I DO NOT recommend Winn Companies. I was staying at one of their locations during a divorce and was infested with cockroaches. I couldn't buy out of my lease for 10k, they laid down traps and accused me of lying. Management was so awful and demeaning. Other folks in the building had the same problem but a lot of them rely on a voucher program and were afraid to lose their housing. It's truly an awful company that is portraying they are helping people in need, but in reality it's for the money and tax breaks.

I’m pregnant and found German cockroaches in my apartment. Landlord refused to call pest control to come asap, told me to wait a week so I left and took my babies items and dogs with me. A week later, they only put down traps. Nothing to stop them from coming into my apartment and being all over my stuff. I called the resident hotline at Winnco FIVE TIMES and no one gets back to me. I had to call the board of health to come in!

I’ve been a tenant for over 7 years now and have been through over 10 managers at my management. Management has poor communication I have called to speak to the current manager of my office for a little over a year now and no response. I have three children all under the age of 18. Watching my children live in these conditions and dealing with these people and problems is messing with my mental health.
My buildings's is infested and management is aware and continues to move tenants in without any treatment. They send out notices of exterminator coming and nobody shows. I was unable to enter my apartment due to the lock being jammed and as old as 1989 I was made to climb through my window 6 months pregnant. This is not a management you would like to live under.

Awful roach and mice infected as well as mold! Rude nasty and do the bare minimum of anything you ask of them, careless of your wellbeing children and all and I would never recommend anyone move there

The building and property are very well kept, and it's a quiet atmosphere for having so many residents, but I appreciate the quiet. Maintenance was a little slow to work on my issue, but I understand it's a big place with lots of orders. I was completely satisfied with the work once completed and with the gentleman who completed it. Overall, I am happy here at Quarrystone.

I live at their property Mill Pond Village in Connecticut. It is very well maintained. The office staff are very nice. One time they had to send maintenance up to check smoke detectors and I was sick with my family being sick. And they skipped my apartment (they told me to rest and they'd come in a couple days to my unit) so we could rest. The last thing we wanted was the loud noise. And even though them doing so would probably put a dent in whatever they're doing in a few days, they still came a few days later. There is a playground and my son is 6 and he loves it. They have a fitness room and an outdoor in ground pool for swimming too. The maintenance guys don't barge in. You can request that they don't come in unless you're home and if I'm busy, they try to come when I'm available to fix any issues (we've been here for 3 years and only had a few issues). My preferred maintenance worker is Freddie and I can request that he comes too when I need maintenance. He's the first maintenance guy I had come up and very friendly so he's my preferred. He's very nice to my son too. He always explains what he's doing. Please tell him thank you to whoever reads these reviews. The grounds are kept clean. Plenty of yard space for my son to run around. In my opinion, it's managed nicely. The office staff take packages from ups and fed ex for us and we can pick them up from the office which is really convenient. When I bring my son down, the office staff are so nice to him he likes going there. I moved here because I lived here for the first 7 years of my life and I really liked it. It's nicer looking now. Highly recommend their properties.

Edit 9/25/23: While the company has responded to this review, the number they provided does not work. My lawyers have now sent a demand letter to them. It has been 2 months and this company is yet to return my security deposit to me. The next step is a lawsuit. Reminder to any tenant: if you're looking to rent a property managed by this company and care about having your hard earned security deposit returned after leaving the house is excellent condition, please read my ordeal and find yourself a better mgmt company/landlord.

Original review: There should be an option to give a 0. This company commits frauds and then has employees with 0 customer service skills or tact handle calls. It’s been 50 days since my lease ended and they’re yet to give me my deposit back. This is illegal under MA law. Their employee calls and tells me “but we issued the Cheque in 25 days so we’re clear - you can’t prove you didn’t get it - yOu’Re THe fRaud 🤪”. If you care about your money… don’t give it to them
