How is this place even still operating?! They treat residents with absolute disgust. They ignore real life threatening tenants safety, their response time is best described as far as 30 days out for any complaints, they hire unqualified people who behave like criminals to operate their community grounds such as repair technicians and managers who have zero customer service or work ethic who actually are NOT in the office during business hours. I would NEVER recommed Woodmont Real Estate Services they have a high turn over of managers who either get fired or quit.

Dear Prospective Tenants,

I hope this correspondence finds you on your search for a new residence. I would like to take this opportunity to convey our recent experience with Park Royal Apartment Complex, which has proven to be quite disheartening. I believe it is vital for potential residents to be well-informed. I’m absolutely baffled!

In November, my husband and I began our search for an apartment in San Mateo. We were initially filled with optimism when we discovered Park Royal Apartment Complex. At first, our interaction with Greg, our primary point of contact, was positive. We proceeded to pay an application fee and a deposit totaling approximately $800 to secure the apartment, envisioning our future there. However, what transpired thereafter was a stark deviation from our expectations.

Upon conducting a thorough review of the lease, several concerning issues became apparent, including a significant number of negative reviews. Many of these reviews pointed to alarming matters such as pest infestations and reports of unsupervised individuals loitering in and around the complex, smoking marijuana and public drunkness. After considerable deliberation, my husband and I concluded that it would be prudent not to proceed with our plans to move in.

When I contacted Greg to discuss the process for the return of our deposit, I was unfortunately met with dismissiveness and a series of explanations regarding the refund process that left us both frustrated and perplexed.

Despite my numerous follow-up attempts—via email, telephone calls, and multiple in-person visits from my husband—our refund check was inexplicably delayed for over a month! . Each interaction with him was characterized by a lack of professionalism and accountability. It was only after insisting that the check be sent directly to Greg’s office that it was finally delivered, miraculously arriving just days later with the time stamp of being delivered the day that we made the last request.

Greg is a snake and will smile in your face and show his true colors once things don’t go in his favor.

In light of our disappointing experience, I feel it is my duty to strongly advise anyone considering this apartment complex to proceed with extreme caution. It is disheartening to encounter such poor management and customer service, and I sincerely hope that others do not have to endure a similar ordeal. He really should not be allowed to represent the company. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person that feels that way.

Unbelievable events in the last few months with this company ever since they took over Point Alameda Appts,
Harassment and retaliation, false accusations, racial profiling, attacks to character , mental shaming ( all documented ) and many more....( In the last few months since this company took over)
For years the tenants have been exposed to...
Asbestos,
Mold ,
Neglect,
Thefts ,

"Law abiding" Resident of 14 years (rent controlled) On this building 3 Rd relocation ( 1st Mold, 2nd move Asbestos) Now living on a apt with a balcony about to collapse, we are very concerned of our well-being and safety also of our Neighbors.

NOTHING has been done so far.....

Who owns this business Does anyone know? Finding the name of the actual deed holder is awfully hard. This is an incredibly difficult and unresponsive group of people. I would say much more but just look at their canned responses to EVERYONE regardless of the severity. Zero accountability and dismissive to the end.

I would rate an absolute 0 for Whitman Green Apartments if I could. After living there 6+ years I’ve seen over 4 different leasing managers in their office; who all are not professional or organized. Recent issue/ experience with them is that I had a move out date with a scheduled walk through for February 10, 2024; open arrival the leasing assistant inside had no clue about it and said just leave the keys. Now here we are March 11, 2024 and I have yet to receive my security deposit, a summary of the security deposit, or spoken to anyone (except once) to help with the matter. After the legal California security deposit refund law of 21 days, I spoke with some new manager, who assured me he’d send me a summary of security deposit and submit a rush order refund check to the forwarding address. Please note my forwarding address was sent to them on January 10, 2024 with my 30day notice to vacate the premise. Somehow due to the change in management they didn’t have my forwarding address on file and so they just didn’t do anything. It is now March 11,2024 I can’t get into touch with anyone at Whitman Green Apartments, anyone from Woodmont Real Estate corporate office, or anything. I am now forced to do nothing but pursue legal action. The in professionalism at this complex is non-existent.

It seems as though I’m experiencing the same things as previous reviews. Retaliation, falsified statements and the inability to communicate efficiently with tenants. Management, and I think the CEO should be notified. Maybe there should be a class action suit against the company being that this is happening too many others is this the Of their disposition towards tenants. Not to mention, the Maintenance of the apartments is below standards.

This is chiefly for the Woodmont Apartments managed by this group. Wish I had more to share about my experience, but it's absolutely impossible to get a hold of anyone related to management here. 99% of your calls will go to off site management who are very nice, but have nothing to do with what actually goes on.

I made an appointment to tour a unit twice and both times- nobody shows up. This happened just this past weekend when I drove nearly 45 minutes to come see the unit and was super excited, only to again be disappointed again. Not sure what it is like to live in a complex where it is literally impossible to contact anyone local. Shame because I really love the location. It’s honestly baffling how outsourced and how difficult it is to talk/text/email a real human working with the actual property- I have never dealt with a complex like this. Please fix your phone number and customer service situation!

A very difficult company to work with. Don't have high expectations in regards to their services. We have been waiting to get our apartment ceiling fixed for almost a year an a half and still no response from them yet. They even dare to raise our rent. They keep dropping the ball from one to another. Property Manager Debbie is often rude with residents.
