This company turned my building into a slum. The slumlords they employ are slow to address any repairs, with a backed up sink taking 4 months to repair, and a loose window taking 8 months to replace. They send repairmen any time they feel like, despite filling out a form. They also give no notice of entry, so hopefully you weren’t busy when they forcefully intrude! Plus the repairs are sketchy at best, and usually require multiple visits to repair properly. If it is already not ongoing, Yale will face several future litigations, as it seems multiple of their properties report the same issues. Their property managers genuinely do not care about their tenants’ quality of life, or privacy. Do not rent with Yale.

I've been so impressed and encouraged by the professionalism and level of care provided by our property manager Steve and the overall company. After years of living with poor management with little regard for tenants' wellness, it is so refreshing to feel like our needs actually matter.

They are awful. They took half of my security deposit and charged regular wear and tear for $1650. The leaky pipes on the parking garage ruined my car paint while they did nothing to fix it and continue charging me for the spot. Stay away from these people

While I have a deep affection for the apartment and its ideal location, living under the management of Yale Property Management has turned into a nightmarish experience.

The persistent issue of water intrusions through a light fixture has persisted for over a year, with both the previous property management team and Yale failing to take adequate measures for repairs. In the span of my residency at their properties, approximately six water intrusions have occurred, each resulting in worsening damage to my furniture and bedding. Despite promises of repairs, each instance has been accompanied by delays—attributed to roofers' backlog, awaiting approvals on estimates, and material procurement delays.

The maintenance service has proven to be another ordeal. Scheduling appointments with them requires numerous accommodations, and their punctuality is inconsistent. When repairs are conducted, the replacement items are often different from the original ones. Requests for repairs, such as the AC and a broken door handle, have been met with significant delays—3 months for AC approval and over 4 months for the door handle.

In one particularly frustrating incident, during a water intrusion, the property manager suggested sleeping in the living room since they couldn't provide alternative accommodations. Dealing with rainwater falling on you is one issue, but being advised to relocate to the living room is an additional inconvenience.

For anyone considering renting through Yale, it is crucial to anticipate delayed responses from the property manager, communication breakdowns, and the expectation to handle issues independently. The management's problems become your problems, and the overall experience has been less than satisfactory.

Once this new Management took over the apartment complex, everything went down hill. Yale Management is the worse.

Liked an apartment, so I scheduled a showing. Devin, who showed me the apartment, was nice but not a good communicator and didn't really seem interested to meet me as a potential client. Anyway, he asked if my credit score was above 650 because the management company was strict about that. I told him my score is 754, so no issues there. I liked the apartment so I submitted an application. I ended up being declined for "insufficient income," despite providing my 2022 tax return which did in fact meet the standard requirement of 3x the rent. On top of that I gave them documentation that shows I have enough capital which could cover a 13-month lease no problem. I EVEN offered to write a check covering 6 months of rent. Like come on guys, I know people buy things they can't afford all the time but learn to read the person. I guess I was a liability ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love living here but I put in a request to get my closet door shaved down when i moved in in august and haven’t heard anything. And when we had a power outage, a text would have been appreciated to figure out how to get out of the garage and that the garage door would be left open for a few days after the power was back up and running. But we all figured it out - maybe for future it would be nice to message the tenants with updates on what’s happening with the building and etas. Other than that it’s been a very pleasant experience.

I would give this management company a zero if I could ! This management company took over our building a few weeks ago and it went from bad to worse !!! The building is not being kept up and the laundry room machines are falling apart ! When complaining about the laundry room, over a week later it was cleaned , and the manager threw away the garbage can so noone could put any type of garbage. I understand, however, where is the lint and stuff from the laundry room is supposed to be thrown?
Then, there are security issues. The current manager had all of the tenants files (personal information ) thrown outside on the ground for hours. Her answer to that was ' I am cleaning the office and I am throwing it in the garbage tomorrow) However, is not that supposed to be shredded? so, because Yale management does not answer their phone , I went down there.
I spoke with Richard Kaufman (President) and he was extremely rudHe assumed I was trying to get his current manager fired and ask me why do I care about everyone's file . Obviously, he doesn't care about the tenants or their rights. He refused to look at the pictures or the videos of the tenants being upset. When telling him another tenant walked away with other people files, he didn't seem to care or want to be bothered! It is upsetting and frustrating. We don't have a manager on-site ( she lives next door ) but we are not allowed to know where she lives , but our personal information can be thrown on the ground. I plan on contacting tenant rights and inquiring if what is going on with our building is legal
