I would not sign a lease here, hallways are always dirty (the elevators ALWAYS look like the photo and various parts of them have been broken).
The front office staff are nice but some have no idea what they're talking about, parking situation is horrible and they also told me I could park at the hotel next door, I called the hotel and they told me they tow residents. You have no guest parking so don't plan on company unless they want to walk from the apartments a block away. They will tow you if you park in yoga so leave hazards on if you need to unload groceries or something parked there. I've been on the parking wait list since before I moved in. However, talking to other residents who got parking before me without waiting I've found out if you just throw a fit over it they'll just bump you to the front and give you a spot. So I guess a word of advice if you want anything you have to annoy the office and have a Karen tantrum and you'll get it. Wish I was brave enough to do that lmao cause I'd have a parking spot.

My bf also asked them if we could store furniture and the man blew him off and told him they don't do that confused as if we were making it up, I called telling them I was thinking about moving in and asked if I could store furniture and they said of course ? So now we have two couches in our studio...

Any holiday or event happens and there's vomit in front of the elevators and it takes staff a day to notice sometimes. Had vomit outside my apartment door once for almost a whole day before someone came and cleaned it. Elevators are never clean. Gym equipment quality is poor, the grills never work, I called the front in December and they told me they don't know when the grills will work.

The walls are paper thin, you can hear everyone in the halls and I can hear everyone as I pass apartments. You can always tell
when neighbors are having a good time....

The good is that the apartment aesthetically is nice and some of them have really pretty views. The residents are really nice. It has in unit washer dryer and the dishwasher works well. It's good if you're not staying long but I just feel like I'm living in a dorm with all the noise and the hallways having vom, dog piss in elevators, dirty carpets in the halls, and the random fire evacuations.

I don't even live here and could tell you I would not try to get a lease. My girlfriend does, and just hearing the stories is insane. Her roommate has 2 lease violations now (from having her dogs shit and vomit everywhere) and they have evidence of a 3rd (and have provided evidence for even more). The managements failure to take action resulted in her roommate slapping my girlfriend across the face, over a laundry dispute. So yippee, now police will get involved because last time we talked to them about violence and threats they said “we dont handle disputes like that.” Only reason for a second star is the hot tub.

The complex was way overpriced for the space and service provided — a common tale of Flagstaff landlords inflating rent just because they know students have no other options.

First, I must say that the staff was very kind and always did fine work. When I (embarrassingly) had my toilet back up due to some trash left behind by another resident, their workers worked tirelessly to fix it.

That said, the elevators also smelled like dog urine for the last three months that I lived there; dog poop was also sitting freely in some of the hallways. My biggest complaint was the price. My room was the size of a small closet, and I was paying well over $1,000 a month. The amenities do NOT justify that cost.

This is not exclusive to Yugo Central, but it is also a major contributor to Flagstaff's unjust housing prices. Put your money elsewhere and rent from better landlords.

Absolutely horrible management!!!!!!!!! Lived here for 2 years (1 under different ownership) wasn’t great before, a disaster now. The front desk is great nice college kids but the upper management are the least helpful and rude people you’ll ever meet. Such a struggle dealing with these people and they charge you for every little thing. Maddy and Ethan or Brandon whoever is the GM suck do not live here or give them any money

The Yugo experience can only be described as horrific. So much in fact that I was motivated to leave this review.

The managerial staff has no interest in addressing issues that may require an explanation containing a modicum of specificity where charges and fees are concerned. They could give a clinic on how to be unprofessional.

Upon receiving the Final Move Out Bill several of the charges were concerning. For example a twenty five dollar fee for throwing out cleaning supplies my son left for the next tenant, who is a friend from school. There were other charges for larger amounts on the bill but I highlight the aforementioned to illustrate the absurdity of the fees Yugo wants to charge residents. As one might expect, someone paying this establishment nine hundred dollars a month might want to reach out to management and discuss the bill. Attempts to contact management staff were met with the evasive tactic. " all disputes are being handled through email ". I explained I would rather discuss the charges first over the phone and then follow up via email if necessary. The managerial staff deemed the request unworthy of consideration. The General Manager, a Mr. Bovi, sent me an email that was beyond disrespectful and hostile to my request to discuss the charges telephonically. His email articulated " he is in no way obligated to speak me over the phone ". To move the process along, my son and I decided to address the billing issue via email.

Exercising due diligence, upon receiving a response to our email from General Manager Bovi, I attempted to follow up telephonically. I called multiple times during the week and at different hours in an attempt to touch base. I was told he was out or could not come to the phone. I left several messages but there was no return call. When I finally did manage to get Mr. Bovi on the phone, he immediately took a hostile and disrespectful tone.

During the call Mr. Bovi reiterated that he wouldn't discuss the bill over the phone, stated my multiple attempts to reach him by phone were" ridiculous " and said he was going to instruct his staff not to answer my calls. After suffering through this tantrum, I asked, you don't have five minutes, to which he replied " NO " and hung up.

Yugo clearly is aware of the logistical dynamic where student housing is concerned at Northern Arizona University. Perhaps this insight has led to an overall atrophy where customer service and civility is concerned. Literally for management five minutes, three hundred seconds was too high a price to pay. Less time than most of us use to drink a cup of coffee.

For purposes of specificity, I would have given this establishment ZERO STARS but it currently is not an option.

Respectfully,

Waaaay overpriced for the space and service you get. $1000 a month for like 150 sqft of private space. Thin walls, weak showers, gross toilets that get dirty super quick and are impossible to clean. Parking garage is terribly designed and WILL cause you to get into some type of accident. And, of course, the only road in or out of the place is MILTON! There are better, cheaper apartments in Flagstaff, don't rent here.

This is a decent place to live if you’re a student looking for something off campus but still close. The apartment is very modern and new. Biggest issues: parking was awful with additions of nearby businesses but having a parking pass makes it way easier. Trash was not taken out often, so the room would be overflowing when I went to take it out. Walls are super thin, you can hear everything. Electricity fees were all over the place, especially in the winter. Understandably, the heat gets used more but even during other months we paid $80-100 each. The office staff is helpful and sweet, but tend to miss calls often. Maintenance was also pretty quick which was helpful. Overall, it’s okay.

When will the parking garage gate be fixed? The Hot Tub and Gym leak free and operational? Parking garage cleaned and homeless people living inside removed? It has been broken for over a year now - I understand these things take time but what fix realistically takes over a year? Is this sacrifice in safety and convenience acceptable to Yugo? Residents that have paid a ridiculous extra premium for parking should not have to fight for space against homeless people living in the once locked garage. Despite having a full staff, the property seemingly has trash everywhere and there is dog mess at every one of the amenities - seriously go look right now! I understand sourcing staff is tough in Flagstaff, but letting resident work orders go unaddressed for nearly half a year is simply unacceptable. The way you treat people matters.

No matter how many fake 5 star reviews members of the staff leave, the neglect of care and living conditions in the building is obvious to residents. This building is put together with string and glue…. And it’s starting to show - Please don’t live here.
