Beware: TC Ride Shop Will Scam You!

I’ve never had a worse experience with a rental shop than I did at TC Ride Shop in Big Bear. Their customer service is absolutely terrible, and they will try to scam you at every turn. The staff is unprofessional and barely able to communicate important details, like their insurance policy or what exactly you’re paying for.

The rental gear is an absolute disgrace. Everything they offer—clothing, equipment, you name it—is old, dirty, and poorly maintained. The clothing they provided was wet, filthy, and, shockingly, they actually pulled it out of trash bags right in front of me. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable for something they expect customers to pay for.

To make matters worse, they gave me XL kids’ pants and tried to convince me they were women’s when I clearly wear a size small (I’m 28 years old and weigh 126 lbs). Nothing fit properly, and they refused to make it right.

On top of all that, they tried to make us pay for the dirty, worn-out clothing we rented! This is beyond unacceptable and feels like a blatant scam. We used to love this place, but ever since the new owners took over, it has become a complete nightmare.

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from TC Ride Shop. They will waste your time, your money, and your patience. Worst customer service ever.

I recently visited TC Ride Shop in Big Bear, California, and had a disappointing experience. I renting a pair of pants that turned out to be defective then they scammed me trying to charge me $70 for something that was pulled out of a bag. They will scam to get back what other people damage. Be very careful I’ve been going to this place for over 7 years and should have known this was going to happen when I saw new owners. I am not the only one that got scammed check the other reviews about this place.

I have tried out several of the rental shops in Big Bear and after many seasons I can say with absolute confidence that TC Ride Shop is the best there is in the business. Their level of knowledge and customer service is unmatched, as they strive to provide the most professional, seamless experience for all their customers, and all of their equipment is of exceptionally high quality. Oh, and did I mention that they have the LOWEST prices in town? Please trust me when I tell you to not waste your time at any of the other rental shops in Big Bear. Go straight to TC Ride Shop! You will leave with a smile on your face.

We have been snowboarding and renting for years and never had a problem. Rip off so called business!!! Do not rent from them. They Hook you. Give you crappy equipment and then claiming you broke it. Stay away!

Went in looking for tire chains after NAPA tried to overcharge me. The guy working today (sorry I didn't ask for his name) was so helpful and even made some adjustments to the chains to ensure they fir our car. Great service!

Awesome service at awesome prices! The staff was quick helpful and kind! The skis I got seemed brand new and were freshly sharpened and cleaned. Not only that but they were significantly cheaper than the other places in town. I will definitely be coming back here and would recommend TC Ride shop to everyone!
